Hi, I have been a member on this site for years and recently opened my home to four male Guinea Pigs. I started out with one pet store pig and wound up adopting 3 others and building two large C&C cages to house them in. On GuineaLynx.com, there is a thread about kitty pics. Many members of...
This is LONG, so I apologize.
My oldest cat, Blondie has lived with my parents since I moved away and got married. She is a very, very sensitive soul who gets beat up and terrorized by other cats. She also has a very strong bond with my mother. Due to her age and circumstances I felt it was...
Do you rent or own?
How old were you when you got your first home?
My husband and I are nearing 40. I have lived in a (my parent's) home for most of my life until 37. I have had short stints in apartments but mostly have lived in a home. I live in apartment with my husband now. We simply...
I am thinking of adopting a senior (9 yrs) male siamese cat from a humane society. What are the chances he will urinate innappropriately?? I have only owned one other male cat ( another siamese) but I got him as a kitten. He never sprayed or urinated anywhere but his box. Has anyone had great...
This is the second time in a week!! The first time the hacker only blocked SOME message boards, now the whole darn site is blocked by some group called the Kurdish Hackers Clan. What a royal pain in the butt
This hacking is harmless but a huge nuisance.
my 4th day of Student teaching. This was my fourth day at this school and I was in charge of teaching 1st graders all day. My cooperating teacher had other obligations and she put me in charge!! She had a substitute come in, but basically left me in charge to teach all the lessons.
The...
I believe that animals can express pain, depression, joy, and even jealousy, but is it possible for animals to be selfish? just like people can?
The reason I am asking this (and the following question) is that my cat Lily will often throw her body over a little cat scratcher in their outdoor...
health and nutrition, but anyway,
My cat Lily has had trouble with regurgitation (frequently) since I got her over a year ago. My vets basically didn't offer much in the way of an explanation or solutions. They said "Oh, it is probably hairballs". With no hair in most, I figured it was some...
I have a Kodak Easyshare Digital camera. I have transferred pics to my computer via the memory card many times. THIS time the LCD message says memory card full. Fine. I check the trouble shooting guide. It tells me to transfer the pics to the computer. I try to put the card in the card reader...
But it is my first one!! I liked the kittywalk system except for the puny size. So, I created my own version!! What do you think?

My cat was just diagnosed with mild to moderate asthma (or a remote possibilty of heartworm).
She was put on daily prednisone tablets and I have an air purifier.
Does anyone know about natural remedies for asthma that I can safely use on a cat?
This was found on Petfinders. The poster found the pic on a different board. Look at the size of this DOMESTIC cat! Amber the Bobcat, your Amber isn't much bigger!

Before anyone asks, I have and WILL continue to work with my vet until we find answers but he/she/ whoever happens to be on duty, haven't seemed too concerned thus far with finding an exact cause. They more or less shrug and say "allergies".
What I am trying to find out is, My cat Autumn...
Little Bitty Kitty wins!! I have been trying in vain to train Autumn to stop scratching my recliner to no avail. Lily (my other cat who has no claws and therefore can't damage anything) is such a bad example and I am not home enough to constantly correct innappropriate scratching that I have...
