Miss Moneypenny got FIVE teeth pulled yesterday. They were quite nasty. After sleeping off the anesthesia, she devoured an entire can of food by herself and is already acting like a whole new cat.
I have a sneaking suspicion that her bout with hepatic lipidosis last year may have been brought...
I have $10 to my name... haven't recovered financially from last month's $2500 vet excursion, and Little Cat's chronic eye infection's acting up right now too, so HE went to the vet Friday.
I've still got a syringe. Guess I'm going to try assist feeding her again.
This is so disappointing...
I don't think I'd ever buy a purebred, but I admit to being squarely in the Scottish Fold camp. I might adopt one from a rescue group someday, if one ever comes up. They neeeever do.
I live in Las Vegas. What are these "seasons" of which you speak?
I think it hit 80 today, which seems to me to be more temperate than usual for April, but it's hard to tell.
Any day where it's not 115 is a good day here.
Yummy! I sort of "accidentally" discovered that drizzling rum over the marshmallows before putting it in the oven is super-yum. It's my new "secret" thanksgiving trick.
Grilled artichokes?
Heya, thought I'd share my two cat story with you:
I introduced Little Cat (male) to Moneypenny, who had been the sole queen of the household for years. She was 4, and he was 8 months. When I adopted her, she had been in the shelter with her 7 month old kitten, and all of the notes on them...
Hmm, if we're going to go into previous cats, I had two others:
Shadow - was my childhood cat and was solid grey. Rather unimaginative, I know, but when he got to be a big ol' 20 pounder, it was a bit funny.
Havok - My best friend found him as a lost little baby under one of those big central...
I still think this was a very silly protest on her part to my going on vacation without her. Hmph! I might be too scared to go anywhere for summer break now - though this has put such a dent in my finances that I guess it's not that big a concern anyway. :-P
Hey there - for what it's worth, I never added anything to the a/d besides water. It was 25ml of water mixed with a can of a/d, and I did the water flushes afterwards (about 10ml). I'm glad that my story is helping you out. I have a suspicion that just giving their bodies something to process...
Back from the vet - Moneypenny's bandage is off, the infection's dried up, and she's gained a whole pound since Thursday! Vet told me to keep her on antibiotics for another week and stick with the denosyl for a month, but that I don't need to come back for six weeks. Yay!
We didn't do any...
Are you secretly my best friend? I love TG - I've got all of the new comic books. :-D And Miss Moneypenny often gets shortened to just Penny. I love that TV show too, btw.
Miss Moneypenny - Because James Bond was about the only thing I had in common with the man I was living with at the time. He didn't like any of the other names I picked. Suits her though, so I'm not complaining.
Little Cat - The cat of three names. I intended him to be a James, to go with...
I do have different sizes of the Miss Moneypenny one, but the bigger one of Little Cat was saved over by the smaller one. I can take a new one of him, if you need it? Probably won't get the adorable tongue action though. :-P

Tube came out today.
I'd wanted to wait until at least Monday, but noticed she had scratched out the gauze from her bandage, and went to the vet to get it rewrapped.
Turns out, she has a bit of a gnarly infection, so he thought it was best to take the tube out - especially since she's been...
