What about contacting your local Council? In the UK, we have noise abatement by-laws - if you have the same, your local Council could proscecute them if they break the by-laws.

What a wonderful you did! From your description, I'd say he definitely has been beaten. If you've not seen him before, maybe he was dumped? Do you near a motorway or something?
I think we do have different cuts in the UK, but I would buy a topside, and roast it at gas mark 4, 15 minutes per lb, plus 15 minutes. This will give a rare roast. Add another 15 minutes for medium, and yet another 15 minutes for welldone. I always rub the outside of the roast with mustard...
I set up a hotmail account for the same reasons as you, BuNN, but I let it lapse because I was so fed up with the spammimg. If the more objectionable ones come from a known ISP, you can e-mail abuse@ISP and report them - forwarding the offensive e-mail as well. I was told never to reply to spam...

My vet is truly wonderful! I'm so pleased we registered with him. We lost a cat 6 years ago to a virus, and Mr. Butler, our vet, was so good. He knows us and our cats very well.
