I agree with Dragon Lady all those things are a good way for them to enjoy the outside but in a safer environment. I'm not altogther about the harness though and whether it will solve the problem or make it worse. We tried that with my brother's cat and it only made him want to go out even more...

I'm thinking on the same lines as Dragon Lady... I used to have a small litterbox when my cats were small and as they started to grow I noticed more accidents. When I changde to a bigger box it didn't happen again. But a trip to the vet is definitely a good idea too

My cats like to chew my plants and so I asked here and was told about Bitter Apple too. although I have no idea though whether it will stain your curtians :/
