Becky has five total now. Yes, Cleo's three month-old kittens are in with them. I tried taking them out but Becky went and retrieved them, brought them back. Everyone seems to be getting along an all are doing well!
Still just the one kitten so far. It's going on 2am, I'm going to be hitting the bed here soon. Camera will be running all night though and I have someone watching who will call me if anything comes up. I know she has more in there!
Shaun is doing very well. =)
Looks like Becky has gone into labor, there's spotting in the cage an I've seen a couple large contractions. Tonight may be the night!!

Yes, he has FCKS. His flattened chest has pushed his elbows out, so he is unable to lift himself up enough to get his back legs under him. After this weekend, I will be taping his ankles under him like so: http://www.ramesescats.co.uk/page14/...4/page104.html
I tried putting a brace on him to...
Thanks, all! Off-air for the night, I'll resume it in the morning. If you check in and it's off-air during the day, just check back in a bit, sometimes the connection chokes but it usually connects again on its own.
Someone mentioned a webcam in another thread - I happen to have one. Cleo's kittens are now live at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/fondas...ngs-kitten-cam. I JUST set that page up so I have some settings to adjust, but I have a bunch of errands to run so will get to it later today.
Hopefully...
I would take care of the earmites soon because you don't want the kittens to get them. Revolution is safe for pregnant and nursing cats and will get rid of earmites as well as worms and fleas. You'll have to get it from a vet's office and it is on the expensive side, but it will be better than...
Thanks for posting that, I think I may try making a brace for Shaun. They will be three weeks old this weekend which was one of the thresholds mentioned in that article, so it seems his chances already are somewhat good having made it this long...
Just as I thought that everything that could go wrong with Cleo's litter already had, we got a new problem. Two of the kittens had started using their back legs, standing up and even walking, but Shaun's back legs remained flat and splayed out like a seal's flukes. I started trying to massage...
Thanks, everyone.
No new pics since their eyes have just opened (they are heartbreakingly cute, however). I will get a pic of Becky and her belly though.
I wanted to dose Becky with the Zithromax too so I could knock any infection out of her before her litter is born, but I was told that...
I've had them three weeks now, and now I'm certain Becky is pregnant as well.
Lost the Brown tabby early in the week, remaining three kittens all have URIs. Their eyes had started to open but were glued shut with crust the next day. They and mom are on Zithromax now, seem to be doing better...
To be honest? I was going to name the brownie Shani (the African American speedskater)... but changed it to Bode because I figured, at least in this area, he would have a greater chance at adoption with Bode's name than Shani's. =/
I was beginning to doubt if Becky was pregnant, but now I'm...
Sorry I haven't updated. I've been busy with round the clock feedings. Unfortunately, we lost three more kittens despite all my efforts. The torbie girl with the missing toes, the little calico girl, and the black boy joined the red one across the bridge. =/
Remaining four and mom are doing...
Lost #3, the red boy. =( The calico girl is hanging in there but lost some weight. She has been nursing but I'm supplimenting her as well. The blue torbie girl also lost some weight, I'm going to see about having her foot amputated, it's swollen and purple. The rest have gained some weight...
All 8!
With their very content and purry mom:
I know their weights are low, but this is a pretty large litter. Is it common for large litters to be lower in weight? Do large litters do well? I'm worried for the calico girl.
