I mind my own business. I think it's like when people tell others they're overweight. I find it rude & insulting. My cat is overweight, I know she is. I absolutely hate it when people say "Oh, she's a...really...big cat" & don't mean it in a nice way. Some people joke around & I don't mind...
Thanks for the information. We just don't have too much money, things are hard for everyone. We're in the process of moving, so that isn't making it easier. I will certainly look into some other brands though, cause my little Schnooky is very dear & important to me.
Well, other than being tubby & just to darn cute, I don't know of any others for Roxy. Not sure if it's considered a "quirk" but she lays on her back a lot, with her feet just dangling. We call her "otter" when she does it.
I just feed her a generic Wal-Mart brand. Special Kitty. It's always been that brand for the wet, & was changed to that brand for dry about 4 months ago. She's had no problems until now with the matting.
BTW, I just tried to "sponge bathe" her, which she didn't seem to be too bothered by. She...
I feed her both dry & wet food. She gets half a can wet at noon, then a bit of dry at 5 PM & midnight. It's the same amount & schedule every day. I haven't switched brands or anything.
I'm not sure she'd let me do that. Then again, I could try. It usually seemed as though she didn't mind...
Hello fellow friends of felines.
I've noticed the last 2 weeks or so, Roxy is getting small matting in the fur on her back. I've combed out some of them, but she's getting more. She also has a bit of dandruff back there too. Could this just be because of the hot weather??
I can't really give...
Thanks for your advice. I'll look into the feliway spray. I do have her carrier out, hoping she'll become interested in it. I hate to say it, but she's going to have to deal with the small carrier. We just don't have room for anything bigger. I wish we did, but we just have a small truck. :-/...
Hi again everyone, thought I'd bump this thread instead of starting a new one.
We're currently trying to get Roxy used to a harness. She didn't do too bad today, just crouched around a lot & hated me for about the first 20 minutes. She seemed ok after wards, just still crouching.
Anyway, I...
Wow, I just put a harness on my cat for the first time today, & she's doing the same thing...I was going to ask about it here! I even took it off of her about 20 minutes ago, because I thought maybe something was hurting her.
Glad this thread was here, helped me out too!
Thanks for your advice Enuja! I've decided I'm certainly not going to use any sort of sedative. I don't want to take the chances. Roxy doesn't even like a collar on, so I doubt she'd put up with the harness either. I won't do that, as it will probably just scare her more. :-/ I'll bring plenty...
I really wish we could. All we have for her is a small cat carrier. We will barely have room for it, let alone a dog cage. We're pretty much just taking the necessities. We only have a small pick-up truck, & are only taking what will fit in it. So we wouldn't be able to have a big cage.
When...
Hi all,
Just found out that we are moving from Southern CA to Southern WI, & I need to know if there's anything we can do to keep from completely stressing out our cat.
We are driving, so she'll have to be in her carrier on the whole ride. We're going to let her come in the motels on the...
