Very concerned about how finicky my Maine coon has become. She is over 13 yrs old and has always gobbled up her canned cat food at meal time and cleaned up any food the others might have left behind. She has always been a chub, but now turns her nose up at almost all canned food and barely...
I know I'm teaching my new kitty bad habits, but it's hard not to spoil furr babies.
The last cat I had would do what I call the "polite begging". Sort of, "I'll just be right here watching you if you should need any help eating that". UNLESS it was shrimp. Then..all bets were off! Cat paws...
Broke TWO nails this morning!! One on each hand! Now they are about half as long as the others.
Here are my options..
1 Cut them all and start over (ARRGGH!)
2 File the others down to match (ARGGh!)
3 File the other a little so the difference isn't as much
4 Bust out the tip kit and make them...
I leave dry food (Royal Canin) out for my cat at all times, and for now it seems a half can of wet food a day helps with her coat filled out, and seems to keep her weight steady, and her poop not too messy.
My question is, what time of day is best to feed her the wet food? (She likes it a lot)...
She has a stocking that I'll be putting up. Which will contain assorted treats and toys, but her wrapped prezzies, will be a pet dryer and a drinking fountain.
shhhh don't tell her!
The cat grass I'm growing, (oat grass atm) has sprouted nicely and is between 2 and 3 inches high. Is it ready to for Maggie to eat it? Or does it need a little more growing time?
Maggie seems to be doing great and was down right friskie today after her spaying on Friday. The home instructions say no jumping playing or running, but she's doing all three now. Is it too soon? Stitches come out next Monday.
The incision is still sewn up tight and no redness..but the area...
Cats have a nutritional reason for sun worship. Cats secrete
cholecalciferol onto their skin and sunlight converts it to vitamin D. When
the cat grooms, he gets his daily ration.
I didn't!
I'm looking for suggestions on good shampoo and conditioners for long hair cats. I'm planning on showing her sometime and want her coat as pretty and silky as possible.
I've always felt I had a bond with my pets that goes a little beyond..to almost spooky, and have had several odd occurences over the years.. here are a few of them.
Was outside talking to someone in the front yard and felt that familiar furry love rub around my legs.. looked down and nothing...
Hope this is the right forum to post this..
I just adopted a registered Maine Coon this weekend, I'm sending off her registration transfer info today, her champion verification is attached to her papers, does that get sent in too for the transfer??
and...
the original cattery is still listed...
I've never fed a cat grass, but now I see sprout plants especially for cats, wheat and oat sprouts.
Do you any of you grow these grasses/sprouts for your cats?
I'll indulge my cat in anything that she likes if its beneficial.
Mine is! It's nuts! She loves baths, playing in water and when she goes to drink she doesnt just take a sip, she lays down with her paws to either side of the bowl..and laps for ages.. lol
