He's draining his anal glands - unfortunately on your bed
I had a kitty that did that but it was only on the floor. The "scooting" action is actually expressing the glands and then - yuck - licks the stuff that comes out. The vet can show you how to express them before he has a chance to jump...
He's done something to scare her - definitely. Some people get a little thrill out of "spooking" kitties. Maybe he just thinks teasing is fun, but it's obviously not appreciated by your kitty.
hummm, my kitty is shedding too because of the warmer/humid weather - but to really know if her behavior is not related to anything Health related you would have to get her blood tested. Has she had a "senior blood profile" done? If nothing is medically wrong, she probably just wants some...
It just amazes me how ignorant some people are People like that don't even deserve to have a pet! I would take them from them. People like that just don't care!
My kitty Max was on lactacted ringers for CRF when he was diagnosed with liver cancer. We started giving him fluids everyday once given this diagnoses and it really helped him. We tried to get 100cc in him, but usually didn't quite make that. Anything was better than nothing. He lived two...
I would try and trap her with a humane trap that animal control can provide to you. Do you have any no-kill shelters in your area? I'm sure they would take her...or the humane society? I have to disagree with you - no animal is better off outside in the elements. Especially with babies. It's...
The difuser with the feliway on sale at PetsMart is about $32.00...I'm not sure how much the spray is since I didn't buy any of that.
I just checked out ebay and they have some good deals on there..
I think the "comfort zone" is the actual difuser...you use the feliway with it. I bought two of them for my kitty that's been acting very afraid, skittish and just not himself. It's definitely calming him a lot! I hightly recommend this product!

This has happened to my cat as well and we didn't even go anywhere! He's all of the sudden scared to death of the livingroom. I've posted something on here about it but I can't remember which post it was. Anyway, I got the feliway and it has helped - but it's a real slow process for him...
I just did that with a little kitty that was coming around my yard! Worked great...the owner called me about two hours after I put the collar on. Now I don't have to worry whether or not he has a home...I just wish they would keep him in
I am so sorry for your loss. Mort was a fighter and hung in there for you as long as she could.....RIP little baby....she's healthy once again and is playing happily at the bridge until you two meet again!

Don't give up hope....hopefully she will show up. How about checking your neighbors place where the wild cats are...maybe she's hanging out there, or could be injured over in that direction?
I sure hope she shows up and is okay....I know you are just devastated..please keep us posted!

This is very interesting...I'm so glad you posted this! I introduced two kitties in March....Bunnie, my little female I had first. I had her for two months before I adopted Charley. Charley seems like a very skittish cat, very nervous. He was under the bed for the first three days. I did...
