    Anyone dealing with IBD??

For the past few months, Tiki has been having random bouts of diarrhea (on our carpet unfortunately) with some blood. After bloodwork and an ultrasound, the doctor said it is Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has been on antibiotic (I forget the name...metro-something or other) for 6 weeks now. We...

What could be wrong with Tiki???

Thanks for all of your advice! The vet called and his bloodwork came back perfect! I spoke to her about the Nutro food and she suggested not feeding him that brand anymore. I read some horror stories online about Nutro, and am definitely switching him to another brand!! In 3 weeks I have to...

What could be wrong with Tiki???

Kat - yes, his food was recalled. This started a week before the recall announcement. But, we had been feeding him the same bag of food for like 5 months prior to that! Seems like a big coincidence that he just started getting sick the week before the recall. Anyways, we changed his food. The...

Tiki is 3 years old. He eats NutroMax dry food. I checked the fiber and it says 3%. Is that good or bad?? We have an appt tomorrow night at the vet! I was also thinking IBS or IBD. The vet says the next step is a blood test...I really hope it is nothing serious!!!

What could be wrong with Tiki???

For about a month and a half, Tiki has been having problems with his stomach. He will cry and cry for a few minutes and then poop on the floor. It is very loose stools and has some drops of red blood, which I assume is blood from straining. About month ago we saw the vet. The stool sample...

Tiki is aggressive towards my husband!

Yes, I was chalking that up to kitten behavior the last time. And he was OK for a while...now it is starting again. As far as my husband's allergies, he is 100% fine. No allergies whatsoever. I think he became immune to Tiki! So, he does interact with him...but now not so much, because of the...

Tiki is my one year old SIberian kittie. He plays around and bites a bit...and when we are petting him and he gets annoyed he will bite to let us know to leave him alone. First of all, is this normal?? Lately though, when my husband is just sitting there not even paying attention or petting...

Tiki is 4 months old and has had his first two sets of shots previously with the woman we bought him from. We took him for his check up last night. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring his shot records with me...so the vet gave him a distemper (just in case....even though I told her he had two...

Anti-Allergy Lotions for cats...anyone know if these work?

My husband is having a slight reaction to our new kitten...he is getting hives on a very localized section of his neck. Same spot each time. We got a Siberian kitten, which is supposed to have less of the protein in their dander that causes allergies, so I was hoping my husband would be 100% OK...
