My female is 3 years old and does the same thing. She chews and bites hard plastic, edges of furniture, books, etc. I don't know why, although I've noticed she does it while waiting for me to fix her dinner or when she appears nervous. I agree about maybe having your kitty's teeth checked.

I agree with this. My cat has suspected IBD and after switching her to a raw diet, her symptoms are controlled if not gone. I was told by my vet that once you find a food they can tolerate, stick with it.

Kabou isn't interested in watching TV, but Brandon loves meerkat manor. Sits smack dab in front of it and only leaves when there are commercials. When the music and chattering starts up, he races back to the TV.

I'm allergic to cats and other allergens and I run a hepa air filter in my bedroom. It does help and ditto on the amount of cat hair and dust I see when I change the filter.
