    Aggressiveness/Charging

Thanks for your very detailed response, aries. I've talked to many people about the second cat thing, and about 1/3 have said to try another cat, and about 2/3 have said that this would only make her behaviour worse. I honestly don't want her to harm another cat or go even more crazy. I just...

    Aggressiveness/Charging

Neither of us smoke. I have no clue how she would react to a small kitten. She can be quite aggressive with her toys, so I'd be afraid for the kitten

    Aggressiveness/Charging

The problem is, she has no reason to see us as a threat. We only pick her up when she is into something she's not supposed to be in. I only pet her when she allows me to (is rubbing against me for it). She eats plenty. We let her free feed off of dry food, and she gets a half of can of yummy wet...

    Aggressiveness/Charging

I am by no means an espert but I am going to jump in a mentiona few things. Have you tried: getting her claws clipped at the vet? this is will stop the painfulness of the scratching - -every 3 weeks they are clipped. i am more worried about her teeth when she does attack do you remain still...

    Aggressiveness/Charging

Not that I know of. She has been looking out the windows like usual, but there are no cats out there that I know of. She actually seems to love up on us more when we have the scent of other cats on us, so I don't know why she would be acting aggressive. The shelter she was in also mentioned that...

    Aggressiveness/Charging

I have asked for help/advice here in the past about Seth's spontaneous aggressiveness with us. Since we have had her, she has grown to trust us for weeks on end and act like an angel, only to turn around and bite us and attack us for no reason. She has never allowed us to hold her without a...

Possible To Train a Cat to Like Children?

Okay, thanks for the advice... It's just so disappointing to have to pass him up. *sighs*

    New cat doesn't play

I'd just suggest taking it slow, maybe bringing the toy to her and letting her paw with it for a bit--then increasing it after a few days until she wants to follow it. You might want to try to find a toy that she REALLY likes as well. My kitty goes nuts over any feather toys, so you might want...

Possible To Train a Cat to Like Children?

So, my husband and I have been visiting various shelters in our area and hoping to find a perfect match for our little girl, Seth. We're wanting to get a young adult male, preferably a cuddlebug that doesn't fear people or other cats. Well, we've met a sweet 3 year old longhaired black cat, but...

My kitten doesn't meow... behaviorial or health issue?

my cat meows very quietly as well, sometimes getting "stuck" meows where it just sorta cracks it's not a big deal once she gets on a roll, she can usually meow louder--think our kitties just need to clear their throats sometimes

    Impatient Kitty?

Yes i have definitely learned my lesson! she's in quite a foul mood today after all of this. She's been rampaging through the house, raising her hair on her back when I approach her in the hallway, and sprinting back and forth. She really cracks me up!

    Impatient Kitty?

lol I'm glad this isn't that abnormal. She's acting pretty mad at me now --I'm guessing because I yelled "owww!" and ignored her for 20 minutes before feeding or playing with her. She acts like I'm a horrible mommy! Of course she waited until she got her food to act mad at me!

    Impatient Kitty?

I usually try to switch up my morning routine with Seth, but it usually involves either having a playtime, feeding her canned food, or me eating breakfast (which is rare to come first compared to the other two). So this morning, I was so hungry! When I came out of the bedroom, Seth was purring...

POLL-Which do you prefer to feed your cat?

I use both. I leave out dry food all day. In the mornings, I make a mix of dry and wet canned food (half a cann) with some water. Seth loves her morning meal!
