And here's some pictures of our happy fur-butt, so you can see how he's doing on Farmina. He's nearly 5 years old now.
Pyewacket, the Norwegian Forest.
We use the Farmina chicken & pomegranate for adult cats. With any dry food, make sure you give them plenty of water, and suppliment with wet food and/or home made food when you can.
For kittens, I'd have to check, but I think they have a kitten food as well.
Dr Eseys is popular, but they do...
Honestly, wife and I like Farmina, and the cats are doing so well on it that I never looked. But I did a bit of research and found that it's very difficult to get Orijen from the Canadian factory from inside the USA. They do their best to deliver food from the Kentucky factory which is far...
Only get Orijen if it's from the Canadian site.
The American site taints the food with poor quality ingredients, shoddy vetting of product, and not watching the amounts of heavy metals going into the food.
There's reports of the American Orijen food killing dogs and cats, and our cats were...
Here's Pyewacket on his 4th year birthday, protecting my work mouse from the evil Covid virus.
He's broken the 27 pound mark. He'll likely push over 30 by the time he's at 5 years.
Hope everyone and their fur babies are staying safe with Covid.
You may also try Colloidal silver.
When they had some chest congestion we gave it to our cats and it cleared it up in a few days. Yes, there's a lot of controversy over Colloidal Silver, but through our own experimentation it seems to always have a positive impact on viral infections on both...
I'm pulling this thread from the dead as a warning.
My wife and I used to swear by Orijens, but recently our Norwegian Forest cat started throwing up and losing weight while on the cat and kitten food.
We found out they (without notice) changed the ingredients of the food, greatly increased...
Thank you Norachan. He's spoiled rotten, like any good Wegie needs.
However, he's had to learn to earn his keep let me tell you.
Here he is doing a very good job as a Tablet rest for the wife.
And I pretty much agree with this as well. The problem isn't the poor animals who need to be put down because they've been trained, bred, and brain-washed into behaving the way they do. It's the people who trained or neglected them into doing so.
Punish the people who are the cause, and the...
I've found disciplining by telling them no in a very harsh deep voice (not loud, screaming, or other) but just deep, barratone, hard voice tends to work wonders. It startles the cat, you look them in the eye sometimes get up and they know they did bad and go away. After a few times, the 'deep...
You may look to get diatomaceous earth and sprinkle it over the cat incase there's flea eggs. It does no harm to the kitty (other than dry out the skin) and if there's any flea eggs it'll help kill them off.
This talks more about using it:
Use Diatomaceous Earth to Kill Fleas in 3 Easy Steps
I remember Bob! You showed me his beautiful picture when he was a svelt 30 lbs. Yea, our Pyewacket is going to be around that size. Vet said he'll be 25 pounds or more. He's about 18 lbs now at a bit over a year old.
As for Pyewacket being a funny looking siamese and missing Kim Novak...
The face has a bit of a triangle shape so I'm leaning more to Norwegian mix here.
Here's a picture of our Wegie so you can compare.
Beautiful boy you have there.
Here's our Pyewacket (Full Norwegian) at 11 months old for comparison.
Our big boy Smokey. Died May 2016, at 20 years, 3 months old.
He passed away just shortly after our 20th anniversary. He was a wedding gift to my wife.
He had some Bombay in him. Completely alpha, smart as a whip, and loved to 'punish' us when we did things he disliked.
Amazing...
