Boy cat peeing in my bed - even straight after using the litter tray

No, it was brand new when I moved in here, still in plastic. I might have suspected that too, but he and his sister were born on the bed when I took their mother in, and there haven't been any other cats in my room since (before they were born the neighbour's tom used to come sleep with me, but...

Boy cat peeing in my bed - even straight after using the litter tray

Hey all! I have a problem with my boy kitten (more of a cat now) who has a fixation with peeing on my duvet. It's not about litter tray issues, as he doesn't pee anywhere else round the house and is perfectly happy using the tray, but even straight after using it if he gets into my room...

Sudden onset of eye infection (?) or allergy in kitten

Ahh ok, thank you - I'll call and book in as soon as they can see us. There are unfortunately a LOT of cats in the surrounding houses, and even though they're all neutered many of them are quite territorial as think space/territory is at a premium, so maybe she encountered one... perhaps she...

Sudden onset of eye infection (?) or allergy in kitten

Is there anything I should put in her eye (eg sterile saline solution) to clean it or just leave it to heal itself...?

Sudden onset of eye infection (?) or allergy in kitten

Yes - why? Also now I look more closely it seems to just be one eye, so maybe it's an injury? Going to see how it is when I get back tonight.

Sudden onset of eye infection (?) or allergy in kitten

Hi! One of my five-month kittens just came in from literally 20 minutes in the garden/neighbour's garden (while the cleaner did the dreaded hoovering) and seems to suddenly have an eye infection... I'm a bit puzzled as she was totally fine before, and now is squinting, has red eyes and is...

Which Royal Canin vet food would be best for my kittens' irritable digestive systems?

I have two kittens, eleven weeks old, who I posted about when they were first born as it was all very touch and go and there were a lot of complications with their mother etc. In any case, they survived - thrived, in fact! - and are very happy, sociable, bouncy little mischief-makers today. ...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Ahh thank you all, only just saw these replies! Been a busy four weeks... have been some dramas since (Hero fell and had a seizure from hitting her head!) but glad to say the kittens are both fine, bouncing around chasing each other constantly at the moment. I used a flea pill from the vet...

Zeus began to pee blood, the vet local does not have the catheter needed to test him.

I can't help with the x-ray, but I sympathise - I grew up partly in Manila, and we ended up taking in 14 cats over the years we were there. Including one Tonkinese who was given to us free, as you say! The others were mostly found as kittens. Luckily while we were around we had a great American...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think the active ingredient in Advantage II and Advantage 40 is the same? Advantage 40 is also Bayer and used to be prescription-only, as far as I remember. They both contain Imidacloprid in a spot-on, and I think if my cat has shown a sensitivity...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Johnsons 4fleas - I checked and they claim they're ok for nursing queens? And Advantage 40 spot-on for small cats and rabbits. Worked a treat in terms of efficacy! But don't think I can put her through it any more...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Hi all, and thanks again for all your help! The babies are doing well, growing and feisty and looking pretty healthy - boy is 325g-ish, girl 240g-ish! So both well over the two-week weight mark :) Xanadu is also back to normal, takes breaks from feeding and cuddling them to play and thunder...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Thank you! Yes, am considering this - others suggested tights too (if I can't find a baby onesie nearby so quickly) again with holes in them. I feel that prob onesie fabric will be more breathable though for the wound? Tights tend to exacerbate bacteria growth more, from what I've read... [Also...

How to tell when kittens are getting enough from the nipple?

Oh god I didn't even think of this... the mother is still on antibiotics, but they end today. If the kittens died after all the work so far that's gone into keeping them alive and the present success that would be so gutting....  Her ears are pretty normal temp and paws are too, but her stomach...
