My cat called "Mikey" died last night at the vets. He suffered from a car accident, a leg amputation, dehydration and temperature problems which have probably caused the unexpected death.
The vets are looking into his death because he was put on a drip last night to hydrate him. He's got a...
Unfortunately, Mikey has now passed away.
It was a very unexpected occurance but he has been through such a lot recently and it is nice to think that he is now resting.
The vets are looking into his death.
He's been taken to the vets for an emergency appointment and they discovered that he was severely dehydrated and his tempereature is low. They are putting him on a drip overnight to hydrate him with some nutritious liquid and they will see how he is in the morning.
They are also trying to find...
My cat has been for a pee and a poop and we have tried feeding him on chicken, tuna, ham and his favourite foods but he still won't accept anything.
Do you think that he may have a blocked nose which may stop him sensing his favourite foods?
We have tried force-feeding him and he just spits...
My cat has had his leg amputated a few days ago but he looks really depressed and unwell. He has been sick a few times and has no energy because he refusues to eat. He drinks normal cow's milk. He is always sleeping!
Can anyone tell me what the problem may be?
Yesterday, my cat had his leg amputated. It's fur has been shaved off around the leg area from the operation. Does anyone know how long it will take to get his fur back and will his stitches need to be taken out?
My cat is recovering from a car accident. The vet said that if he could not feel anything in his leg, it would need to be removed. I found out that he can move it when he is in an umconfortable position but I think that he doesn't move it because he knows that it will hurt him. Can a cat still...
The vets squeezed his affected leg to check if there was any feeling in them but he did not squeeze the other three. I have squeezed all four but I didnt hear him in pain for any of them. Does this mean that he does not feel pain in any of them?
I have been to the vets and they said that my cat has no feeling in one leg compared to the other. They are giving him 2 more weeks to see if anything changes but otherwise his back left leg will need to be removed. It was possibly caused by a car accident. How do cat's get around with one back...
My cat has been at the vets last week suffering from a broken pelvis and during that time, he has pooed and weed fine. Since we have had him home, he has weed but not pooed. If he cannot poo, can the vets do anything about it?
My cat has recently broken his pelvis. This may have been caused by a car. He can do a wee but does this mean that he will be ok? I have heard that over time, his bones can heal themselves anyway which is much better than paying thousands for an operation.
