Thank you for following up. We've had a similar veterinary approach such as antibiotics, fluid drain/cytology and possible surgery again. I'll post any future info.
Did you ever receive a reason for why the socket fills with fluid? I also have a one eyed cat who's empty socket filled with fluid two weeks back. It also happened once in 2019. The eye was removed in 2014. The cat is 11 years old. Vets aren't sure of the cause.
