    Cat bit vet tech

I'm am glad to see tho that Juno has a level headed parent to look after them. I am sorry you had yo deal with all this. Some folks don't grasp that laws are made with a certain intention or "spirit" of the law. Also best of luck finding a cat specific vet. I hope you have better luck finding...

    Cat bit vet tech

I have to say you all seemed to handle these kinda situations way more level headed then I would of. I mean holy heck man...they work at a vet poking and prodding. I'd of lost it an on them! It's not the cats fault they don't know how to safely do their jobs! Idc who or what someone is an threat...

Ahh that's a good idea I don't know why I didn't think of that. I'll phone them up now

    Could it be from Convenia?

It's so hard to tell if he is suffering. He isn't trying to hide an he wants to cuddle an even tries to play a little now an then. I'm trying to find a cat specific vet in the memphis area but I'm having no luck yet. I think I'd like to have someone that focuses on cats regardless of how Opie...

    Could it be from Convenia?

We ruffed it out through the night. His breathing slowed down a bit an I just monitored him all night. We had an ultrasound and xray this morning. Seems his abdomen is 2/3 full of 2 tumors. The vet doesn't think he could survive removing them. We've been to the vet so many times and we thousands...

    Could it be from Convenia?

Also he is at like 60-70 breaths per minute. Kind varies a little an I feel his little heart kinda fluttering. I have an appointment for blood draw in the morning but I'm not sure I we should wait to have em looked at till then.

    Could it be from Convenia?

I have a 8yr old cat that developed kidney failure rather rapidly after our dog passed away. He has also be just a hair bit anemic most his life but it wasn't very bad, or not to concerning according to our vet. We started sub q fluids, have him on Naraquin and kidney prescribed wet food. We had...

    Is this Ring Worm?

It could also be some kind of infection that formed a cyst an fell off/out. Usually there would have been some large swelling tho. Doesn't look like that to me but if it's not round worm that would be my next thought. I'm paranoid so if I had this issue and the worm meds didn't work I'd go full...

    Guilty Feeling or Just Grief?

I feel ya! If I was so damn stupid I could of saved a couple of my adopted love children. I realize that they had it better with me then on the streets. However they still would of been better of with someone mote knowledgeable and experienced. All and all tho I'm still thankful that they got to...

Need Advice On CKD Treatment For My Boo

Kinda late here but it could also be your little buddy is cold. My Opie has similar issues and I've found trying to keep him warm seems to help alot to cut down the excessive grooming. The kidneys help regulate the body temperature, so if they get cold it could also make the limbs very itchy. He...

    Naraquin for CKD Kitties

Nope we are not having to force feed him anymore. That was...ruff but happy it was done. He has been eating and drinking on his own . No he doesn't have any issues with his calcium but he did become pretty anemic durning all this. The vet said the ferric citrate might help with this to a small...

    Naraquin for CKD Kitties

Naraquin so far seems to be working great for Opie. These capsules separate easily and mix in to his food in a powder form. My vet told me just one pill a day ( 150mg and only 40mg calcium Acetate) so I have to break it up across his meals. The hardest part is predicting his hunger levels...

How to get Terra the Cat to take her meds?

I definitely wouldn't try to hold her if she hates it. When my buddy is being difficult, I take him in the bathroom an close the door. We just chill a few min and play(if he will) an then calm down. He usually just sit next to the door letting me know he wants to go. That's when I try to get...

Not sure if needs vet or patience for probably stuck fur ball?

I would most definitely get them looked at sooner rather then later. It could be a kidney issue, a gum/mouth infection, or all sorts of issues. In my experience tho once some drooling starts you need to act fast. I hope she bouces back.

    Hey y’all !

I enjoyed the HBO series Rome. It's a bit dated and sub par acting. So most folks don't have the patience for it. However the story over all is pretty enjoyable.

    Naraquin for CKD Kitties

Good to hear it was effective at lowering his phosphorus. I'm about to put my lil buddy on this as well. I was interested in this medicine because of the iron III or ferric citrate. Opie has been anemic all his life and I've seen where many medications used to lower phosphorus also interfere...
