Hi My kittens just turned 5 weeks old. They are using the litter box now but they keep eating crystal litter. Their mum doesn't stop them. They have started weaning and are still drinking milk too from mum. They are good weight and very Playful. I've not seen them ingest it and it's they are...
Yup goes without saying. For now it's my sister and my best friend and they know I won't let them go before they are 3 months old.
I'll book cookie's spay ASAP thn
Thank you so much @Sarthur2 you've been such a constant help in their journey along with other members
Can I get cookie spayed now or when the kittens get adopted? Also my best friend have decided to adopt the runt as she saw how I've spent day and night looking after him since they were born. So so happy
6 weeks old today and very healthy. I remember how the runt was born so tiny and thanks to you all today he weighs the 2nd heaviest. I could never do it without this group and the helpful ppl here. Many thanks from myself and the kittens 😸
Soooo all the kittens are much better now. I started their worming yesterday. Only one has slightly loose poo now and the rest are back to normal. They are eating Royal canin dry food, drinking mum's milk and I'm also supplementing.
My sister has agreed to adopt one of them and I'm so so...
Thank you for replying ❤️ should I wait for tummy to settle before giving panacur?
Also because they are losing a lot of water should I give them the water that I boiled the chicken in? Not chicken just the water as they seem to love it
Thank you for this. I'll run it past my vet. Today I suggested if we should start some pedialyte but he gave me a look and said we shouldn't give too many remedies.
So for now I'm fully relying on you helpful people. I have few questions.
*Is it ok to give boiled chicken like the vet suggested...
The thing is the diarrhoea started as soon as they started solid food so naturally the vet thinks it's something to do with food.
I agree this vet was not good at all. He didn't seem to be interested. Saw them for 10 mins and handed me a bill for £200
This one is a private practice, the other one is a chain which I never take them to. I googled albon and its not available in UK, must be sold under another name
So i took them to my vet again, it was a different vet at the same practice. He gave them prokolin paste and told me to give them boiled chichen and their kmr. I'm very skeptical about this advice as well. Really don't know what to do..
I've seriously started to have doubts about my vets. The sachet vet gave didn't help the kittens at all. They still have mucusy poo. I asked them if I could deworm them but they said not until 8 weeks old. I found contradicting information online but ordered a dewormer for that's suitable from...
I've bought the medicine vet suggested, had to buy it from them as couldn't find it at the pet store. I mixed it in their milk and they drank it happily so fingers crossed. Really hope it works out
So one of the kittens just pooped and it was like jelly, his bum looks so sore and bottom of tail as well. Another one was crying a lot then ran to a corner and pooped slimey type. Should I continue weaning or go back to milk only. Really worried
