Is there a good medicine chest to have on hand for our cats somethimes it takes 3 days to get a vet appointment now

My condolences on your loss. However, believe there is a cat ready to enter your heart outside. Fear not; they will locate you. I had to put my alpha cat, Lady Penelope, to sleep who was of 20, approximately 1.5 years ago. She was a last-minute pick at a cat shelter when I acquired her, and she...

Moving to new apartment, getting a second cat

Fostering seems like teh best option to me. if you are adopting a foster kitty coming from a multi-kitt environment, you may have less of a territorial battle. I just adopted an 8 yr old adult, Calcio, from the Petsmart cat adoption program. The owner had passed, and she had been rescued from a...

Is there a good medicine chest to have on hand for our cats somethimes it takes 3 days to get a vet appointment now

. My vets and I have always gotten along so well, but suddenly they both retired. The surviving vets at the clinic are true "pieces of work," although some doctors and vets will undoubtedly be at the top of their field. But, of course, there will also be those who barely make ends meet. I had...

Is there a good medicine chest to have on hand for our cats somethimes it takes 3 days to get a vet appointment now

My cat Jennie recently suffered from pancreatitis, but she is now recovering nicely. As I waited in the waiting area, I overheard the veterinary clinics turning people away with sick animals or scheduling appointments for 3–4 days later. I live in Northern Virginia, which is about 40 miles south...

Decided to put my cats on a feeding routine. Can you check my schedule for me?

What does your vet say about your feeding schedule? Feeding more of a low calorie for cats might work just as well without denying teh cats free choice food. My cats are grazers, others like to eat at certain times a day. You need to accommodate their normal eating behaviors as well.

Chemistry and Blood Panel in cat perfectally normal BUT cat won't eat and is dehydrated

All, Ginnie is doing better now. When I ran out of Cerenia yesterday, she had some pain and cramping and sat around hunched over. I did not have anything to give her, so I dumped all of the catnip out on a towel and gave to her to lay in. It is a pain killer for cats on the level of aspirin for...

She is hell to treat and medicate. Someone here helped me with the "burrito trick" to restrain her. After today though, I'll switch off to the Pedialyte. She ate this morning when I hand-fed her. I'll let the vet techs help[I give her the Cerrenia and appetite stimulant. I'm going to ask if we...

Thank you so very much!!! She is eating more mini-meals by herself. . I have to give her dry food 6 times a day. She won't eat any wet food yet. But by the end of the day, she would have consumed approximately 1/2 cup of Temptation Treats, formulated to be fed as a complete diet. She is a...

Will your husband be happy when the cat starts urinating all over the house, in the closets, on the furniture, on all your husband's stuff, and on the bed? Will, your husband be a happy camper when the cat acts like a male cat and gets SUPER VOCAL and yowls all the time and specifically in...

Thanks for your help with teh burrito and Ginnie. I wrapped her up in her blanket and sat on the floor with her against my body. I could control her flipping and twisting around more, and it was easier to give her teh REBOUND. I saw that people with pancreatitis recommend multiple small meals or...
