DIY tall cat scratching & climbing post

Thank you! It is definitely sturdy. I was inspired by a pillar tree that I saw on a UK site. I know I spent more than I should, but anything for these spoiled cats! 😊

DIY tall cat scratching & climbing post

This is a very simple project that my daughter, and I put together this weekend. This only has one level because it is next to the cat tree, so they didn't need platforms/steps down. I spent around $100 after using my lowes coupon (I buy them from Ebay) This could be made cheaper by cutting...

    Looking For Sisal Fabric

@TendaF thank you for your post. I bought a 10 pack of the sisal coffee bags. I found them from the same seller on Amazon Prime. SUCCESS! They were in surprisingly great shape & the cats like the fabric. I'll make a thread for my diy cat climbing/ scratching post. Here is a picture of the...

    Question about cat trees

I moved the old tree to the laundry room. I put the new tree in front of the French door. June has now decided that she loves the new tree. Boo has decided, that if June loves it, she'll love it more. 🤣 they've been fighting for the top cat space all day. I was going to throw the old tree out...

    Question about cat trees

The ugly broken tree...why do they love this hideous thing? 🤣 I'm leaving it out for them, until they fall in love with the new tree. I'm shopping for a perch to sit in front of a French door, now.

    Question about cat trees

Wayfair was out of the skyscraper, unfortunately. I bought the xxheavy 65" from chewy and it is very sturdy. I couldn't be happier. I still intend to upholstery it in my colors, but I put it up yesterday. The cats are trying it out, but they keep gravitating back to the old, ugly, broken tree.

    Question about cat trees

I purchased some 1/4" unoiled sisal to cover the other two posts. I love the look of the Midwest trees (they are too small to make my cats happy) SO I purchased some cute upholstery fabric to jazz up the new tree a little. The tree is scheduled to ship today. This is the fabric that I chose:
