    Prednisolone looks different??

I'm guessing the same thing, I know there's so many shortages and things. I'm still going to call Monday to double check, but it's nice to know it can happen.

    Prednisolone looks different??

Hi friends, Long story short so I don't bore you. My Ruby is on Prednisolone for asthma. She takes a low dose [half of a 5mg pill every second day], and is tolerating it well. She had a vet appointment yesterday for a one year check up and after discussing side effects and other treatment...

    Red, bloody nose??

Just an update. Ruby was booked for an appointment this coming Friday afternoon, after the vet told me this was the earliest they could see her. Yesterday, she didn’t eat, was extremely lethargic, and has what looked like actual pus coming from her nose. This morning, I found her laying in the...

Thank you, I'll give that a try.

    Red, bloody nose??

I am going to call again in the morning. We live very rurally so unfortunately the vets are just extremely overworked. I'm pretty positive it's a flare up as everything happened so quickly. Also, I noticed her very snotty nose has a bit of a smell to it, which in the past has signaled she's got...

    Red, bloody nose??

Hi everyone. I want to start off by saying that I will be taking kitty to the vet, but the wait for non-emergencies is 3+ weeks, so I'm hoping to get some reassurance here. A little bit of history first. Ruby is a 5 year old domestic short hair with possibly some ragdoll or siamese in there...

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

I also just want to mention that I have always had multiple cats (mega multiple, 6 plus!) and this little guy is the first I ever had trouble with in regards to litter box use. Now he’s extra particular about his box and cries if it’s dirty.

    Litter Help

I have 8! I use Fresh 4 Life odour destroyer. A 40lb bag is $20 dollars. It is unscented but the odour control is AMAZING. I’m just now realizing it might only be available in Canada though 😬

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

It did! I think he wasn’t properly trained when he came from the breeder. I was also using sWheatScoop and I Don’t think he liked it much. I changed back to clay, and started putting him in the box after every meal and when he woke up from naps and I was home. It took work but he’s fine now!

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

just an update - called the vet, who said that he isn’t SUPER concerned about it as he’s eating, drinking, playing etc. He believes it’s parasites, and that basically he had a little blood vessel open because of the irritation. he compared his little intestines to our nose, and how thin and...

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

I am concerned he was taken from mama too young as well. I didn’t have an overall great experience so I just wanted to get him out of there. He was 8 weeks when he came home, so I know that was too young but I’d already made deposit etc. He supposedly had one worming but it’s not listed on the...

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

Thank you, I will definitely try that! I’ve got myself all worried that he has some sort of health issues because I lost my older cat suddenly in January. My anxiety has skyrocketed because of that. Just this morning the little guy had some bright red blood in his stool. Any experience with...

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

Thank you! I have one in my guest bathroom and one in the living room (where he spends most of his time). I do think some of it is to do with "oh my gosh, gotta go" because he'll get close. Also, some of the litter is always scattered on the floor, which I think is attracting him. I will pick up...

11 week old kitten peeing outside box

Hi friends! I’m having a bit of an issue with my 11 week old male ragdoll, Meatloaf. To my knowledge he was litter trained by his breeder, but since getting him, I’ve noticed that he sometimes pees outside the box. 90% off the time, he pees in the box. He eats well, drinks lots of water and is...

    My baby has cancer.

It’s completely normal and rational to be upset about this. From what I understand, your sweet boy has been in your life longer than you’ve been married. That’s huge. It’s hard to make people who don’t understand such a deep connection with animals see why we are struggling. I lost my furry...

    My baby has cancer.

First of all. I am so sorry you are going through this. 16 years is such a long time to spend together, my heart breaks for you. No one can tell you the right or wrong thing to do for your kitty. You know him best, and have to consider his quality of life. Not eating is a big deal for a kitty...

    Cat acting strange suddenly

I think I figured that out as well. Sunday morning, when he first made his little coughing sound, I rocketed out of bed and quickly checked his mouth to make sure he wasn't choking or anything. He started running from me after that. So, that was my own anxiousness and stupidity. I'm trying to...

    Cat acting strange suddenly

I added some olive oil to his food and fed the kitten separate from him. He’s using the litter fine, I can tell his poops from the kittens and Ruby’s. They were a little dry but the litter still stuck to it. He just eagerly gobbled down some treats and is now grooming himself and the kitten. My...

    Cat acting strange suddenly

So, unfortunately due to a staffing shortage at my local clinic (once again, I am extremely rural), Elliot’s appointment got pushed to the 18th since he’s not considered an emergency. He’s eating, drinking, playing and the works. They told me if he stops eating or something that they’ll fit him...
