Anyone with personal experience in dealing with kidney stones in your kitty?

He was given an xray yesterday - see pic attached (I circled the stones in yellow). And thank you for the reading material and treatment suggestion. I think that's only available for one kind of stone and not the other - so next time we do need to identify the type of stone and if it's the one...

Anyone with personal experience in dealing with kidney stones in your kitty?

He couldn't get a urine sample yesterday to determine what kind of stones they are (Bane wasn't drinking so no urine). He did give him fluids but it was too soon to get a sample afterwards yesterday. If the antibiotics don't help I have to go to emerg.

Anyone with personal experience in dealing with kidney stones in your kitty?

Bane is really sick and has a kidney infection caused by kidney stones. He's being treated by his vet with antibiotics and fluids. Does anyone have first hand experience with this who can share with me what they went through and if there's any hope for him? Anything I've read said that nothing...

    Odd symptoms in cat

Yes my new vet informed me of this so Bane was never given any additional Metacam (after the injection he got). And Batman is only being given the bare minimum of doses when his fever spikes. But I won't be giving him any more now. Thank you for the info!

    Odd symptoms in cat

" I noticed Buns legs sticking out awkwardly at times when he was just sitting, which is also indicative." - I noticed this too but while he was laying down. Or that Bane would be too exhausted to move it so he just stayed like that. But definitely awkward in it's positioning (even for a cat)...

    Odd symptoms in cat

The things that you posted that made me relate to your story were these point: "He was lip smacking a lot" "sleeps the whole day" "He has some balance issues, and has toppled sideways a couple times." "Bun definitely hasn't been drinking a lot of water. Probably less than usual because he...

    Odd symptoms in cat

Hello Misha_Bun_and_Pika, I have 2 cats that had the exact same reactions you're describing after getting the FVRCP on the same day: Nov 4, 2021. I have a vet monitoring them and the only thing to have a positive impact so far has been therapeutic doses of probiotics: Benebac and a Dr. Mercola...
