My cat ranges from 11.4-11.6 pounds. He is an orange tabby. He eats 1/4-1/2 of dry food a day. I give him treats as well. Food he eats is veterinary prescribed urinary diet. He only likes the royal canine brand. I can feel his spine when I feel his back with my fingers, his feet’s and arms are...
Hello, I have my cat currently on the dry cat food: Purina UR st/ox prescription diet to help with crystals. I’ve noticed that my cat has started to feel very boney. I can feel his spine and feel his head bone very well. The only other thing is that he’s actually gaining .1 of a lb usually every...
Yeah, I think I’ll go in and ask them on my next day off which is Tuesday. He’s not losing any weight but actually gaining so that gives me hope that it’s just me being the overthinker I am.
Yes, he still plays and uses the restroom the same. He did eat less during the time that he dealt with the urinary tract infection back in November. Also, he’s been on the prescription diet food since November so maybe it’s his prescription food that’s not getting him the nutrition he needs?
What were some other signs that you saw?
My cat also just had an episode of urinary tract infection for the month of November last year which is why I’ve become so overanalytical about how he eats, bathroom usage, play time, and how he looks.
He is 4.6 years old. He’s boney around the shoulders. They’re protruding. I brought him in a few days ago and the vet said he has a nice waist and his spine feels healthy. They gave him an ideal weight score. Vet said he is a healthy cat, but idk why I can’t shake off that there’s something...
So, my cat has become quite boney but he’s not losing any weight. I’ve been taking him to the vet every two weeks, but I can’t shake that there’s something wrong with him because he feels so boney. He eats and drinks a good bit. He eats about 3/8-6/8 purina ur dry food every day. He plays 15-30...
I tried the canned version and he only eats 1/4 of it and won’t touch the rest. He’s gotten better now. I see he is eating 1/4-3/4 each day. It seems to vary with how much more play we do. If we play more that day, he’ll eat more. I’m just a bit of an over thinker and worry about him.
I also...
He was dealing with a lot of crystals in his bladder which was hurting him to pee. He began to strain and would be in lots of pain, so I took him to the vet and they told me he needs to be on a strict urinary SO diet from now on.
Unfortunately, I was told I can’t give him any of his old food...
Hey everyone,
My cat started on a new urinary so diet. We had to go through 5 different brands to try to see which one he would eat. Could this have upset his tummy and cause a low appetite? It’s 5pm and so far he has ate 1/4 cup of dry hills urinary food, and 1/2 can of royal canin wet food...
