    Scaredy-cat

My oldest female cat is 4 years old, and I adopted her. I've had her for a year and she is STILL scared of people and does not like anyone holding her. How can I change, if I even can, this behavior?

    Newly adopted cat behavior

This is great news you gave me. I've been worried I have not been doing the correct things for her to adapt well. I'm glad to know it is. She has room for the entire house, BUT I usually have to bribe her into coming out of my bedroom. She comes out just to eat then goes back into hiding.
