My cat (3 years old) back in May of this year had to have two bottom teeth removed because of resorptive lesions. He did well with recovery and only got bad off when my old vet gave him a depo medrol injection without my say so and he was very ill for weeks and it absolutely terrified me to have...
Took my 3 year old cat to the vet yesterday to get a check up and he got two vaccines. The rabies and distemper vaccines. He’s acting a little lethargic and hasn’t eaten since last night. Is that normal?
Thank you all! Vet said his teeth looked good but scheduled an X-ray just in case so I’ll know for certain! That way I can just brush it off as his quirks 😂
This is probably me being crazy but for some reason my cat doesn’t like to be rubbed or scratched under the chin. I know most cats love it and I’m just concerned that maybe he’s in pain? He does have gingivitis (only on the top gums, not his bottom) but it’s mostly cleared up from daily...
I just worry that I’m going to choose the wrong thing and make everything worse. It is so overwhelming. Wet food (pure balance) made his diarrhea way worse so now I’m scared of it
His favorite is turkey. He’s mostly always had it. So I really hope he isn’t allergic to that. I thought about getting a limited ingredient turkey dry food and see how he does but it’s so hard to choose what is best and my funds are limited and changing foods every so often just to test it, it’s...
I will ask about B12 levels.
I think I will go expensive on the dry by getting Dr. Elsey’s dry since it is really good on ingredients and it’s spoken highly on here. And then maybe a limited ingredient wet food?
so me and my vet have discovered that my cat does indeed either have IBD or a food allergy. I was only giving him a dry food (Purina One Indoor Turkey) but I decided to add some wet food (Pure Balance) but it gave him really bad diarrhea. So I stopped the wet food 100% yesterday and his poops...
Okay so I just fed him the wet food again and I noticed he only chews on one side when it’s a big chunk lol. So maybe he’s just not used to chewing wet food at all
