Thank you very much! I will see what clicker apps there are on the google app store, because I don't have one and we're in quarantine. Do you think I should keep taking her paw in my hand right before giving her a treat and saying the command? She got angry at me once yesterday when I tried to...
I've begun this yesterday, so obviously no real progress. I use her favourite treats to motivate her and I take her paw and shake it right before rewarding her. She has begun to understand that there's something related to her paw, because she kind of instinctively raises her paw a little bit...
If she doesn't know her name by now, I don't think it will matter. I always repeated key words or phrases to my cat since she was tiny in hopes that she'd catch on by context. She did, in fact, catch on. So now she knows her name, knows to 'come', 'go away', knows the meaning of 'no' or 'yes'...
Update!
Taking her out of the room immediately when my mom senses Nemi to be agitated worked well. On top of that, I got her medicine for her allergies, little pills that have to go down her throat, and she is getting better. My mom is the one giving them to Nemi. So far, 0 attacks and it's...
I will check them out.
My mom is a very clean person and hates to see anything unclean around the house or out of order . So yes, everything is clean and nice even when I'm not around.
We don't have cat behaviour specialists here, only vets. I will take her to the vet for a general checkup this week, as she's having some issues with allergies. I will talk to them in more detail about this.
Dad is blaming mom and laughs at her if she gets hurt. He's not of much help. He...
I understand, but my mom is still attached to Nemi. For instance, if she gets hurt or is in pain for some other reason, she rushes to comfort her or see what is wrong, being clearly emotionally distraught. I don't panic like she does, for example. I'm not justifying her other bad behaviour, but...
I know for a fact that my mom doesn't abuse her and my cat hasn't been always behaving like this. It's been going on for a few months and she is 2.
I'm 18 and in 2 months I'll go to college. I'm not allowed to have pets where I'm staying. I will look for another place after a year. I will come...
I found her dead after not seeing her yesterday at all. Presumably same neighbour scared her and she went off farther than she would've ever gone. I think she was hit by a car because that's a higher traffic zone (and her body sure looked like that as well, won't go into detail). She was safe...
Premature celebration. Neighbour complained and kicked her out. Said that he will keep putting her stuff outside when/if I bring them in. Said it's disgusting to keep her litter box and food there, but I suspect he just dislikes cats. The others are indifferent so nobody is technically on my...
Update! I'm keeping her like 70% of the time in our apartment building. She doesn't destroy anything, mostly sleeps and uses her make-shift litter box. Occasionally sleeps in the box that I made for her. So she passed the approval test.
The tomcats still stalk her, but it's drastically gone...
Supposedly. When they have such programs there are ads about it, such as last year. I haven't seen anything around town from them. Maybe they'll appear in autumn, but that's already too late.
Thank you, but it's far away from my place. Some people have linked to it before.I know Bucharest has like maybe 1 or 2 trustworthy organisations that appeared in the last 2 years or so, but they are quite small and definitely barely handle what's in Bucharest. From what I know, it's absolute...
