Thanks all for the advice! I have begun to use the treats as incentive coming over. We also tried the whole "ignore her until he comes to us"...but her cuteness frequently gets the best of us.
We've had our new kitty for about two months. She's a little over a year old and very sweet and agreeable. You can pick her up and hold her, or put her on your lap, or deposit her on the couch next to you, or in bed at bedtime, and she'll hang out from anywhere to 10 minutes to much longer...
