Feel like there should be an update on Gatsby!!! He’s now 7 weeks old! But at 2 weeks his mom stopped producing milk so we’d reached out to a family friends who fosters kittens and she bottled fed him until 6 weeks! But he’s doing amazing and is a little jerk

6 day old update! He is doing amazing! Growing and eating like a champ! It was a rough few days but mom has gotten the hang of it and is such an attentive mom! I’ve been calling him Gatsby I’m not sure if it’ll stick but I like the sound of it!

Ok great! Thank you for being so helpful I feel clueless lol!! His bottom doesn’t look too red or irritated so I think all is well!! He needs a name still so any suggestions are welcomed!!!!

Baby is doing great and so is mama! She still meows every so often but was quieter today. One issue is mom seems too persistent for bath time. She’s constantly licking him and his butt, she’s also waking him up and you can tell he’s tired, is there a way to stop the persistent licking? There...

Ah thank you! I was worried something was wrong with her that I couldn’t see! She’s been getting loads of attention today! It sucks because she’s going to be alone for a couple hours tomorrow if school doesn’t get cancelled so hopefully she’ll be good by herself

She’s lets him nurse fine and even coaxes him to nurse even if he just ate.

I have a question about mama cats behavior. She has not stopped meowing since delivery. Not only that but she keeps trying to move the baby out of teh box and either next to me or pushes him closer to herself. She’s also constantly leaving him and seeking attention from me. I’m not sure why...

I used flash for one picture! His back had a thick black stripe down it which makes him seem darker! While his face and feet have typical tabby stripes!

Yup just one little squirt. And surprisingly he’s the average weight for a newborn actually is on the smaller side. Mom is acting completely fine and calm!

I was so worried he wasn’t going to be alive but he’s doing great!!! He’s nursing now and mama has settled down and is sleeping!!!!

Well it’s been 11 hours and no kittens. She’s pretty restless and still meowing a good bit. She no longer wants us to touch her stomach, but weirdly baby is still rolling around-he feels sideways. If she doesn’t have him by 11 then it looks like a vet visit.

She’s trying to hide under a blanket and is intently licking herself, and very vocal meowing every so often. Not sure if she’s having any contractions at the moment.

Her water just broke!

Oh yes she’s getting spayed as soon as my low cost clinic has an appointment available and any babies that come out of this okay!! The problem is that nobody is home tomorrow so if she does choose tomorrow hopefully it’s seamless. Baby(ies) are still moving good!

Quick question would litter size dictate how long pregnancy is as I think it’s only one kitten so would her pregnancy be longer?
