I've seen him drink just fine a few times but other times he digs like he's in his litter box or something. It's really strange but the cone comes off in less than an hour now so hopefully, that'll solve the problem!

Here its pretty standard to use a cone after any kind of surgery so that they don't lick at the wound but maybe it's different elsewhere! That's very interesting!
