    Kitten Leg Stump Help

I am honestly not sure about that! It sounds pretty plausible, I'm going to make a mental note about that to ask my boss. I'm trying to do as much research as I can about the stump protection. I've had other foster kittens that were missing just one foot, but there was no concerns there because...

    Kitten Leg Stump Help

My email didn't notify me of any new replies, sorry for my delay in response! So I was mistaken when I described his stumps as calloused - there was no redness or irritation so they didn't look very fresh to me. Once he was with me for a few days and no longer walking around on rough ground...

    Kitten Leg Stump Help

I can see that, I think I used the term calloused preemptively - I think the skin is on it's way to getting calloused, but right now I feel bad for him because it's mostly irritated and almost like a big scab on each stump. They bled a tiny bit when the doc was taking a close look. Fortunately...

    Kitten Leg Stump Help

Hello! I just picked up a new foster kitten last night, he is 3 weeks old and he is missing both of his back feet - it appears from a birth defect. Since he is missing both, he does use both stumps to walk and as a result of this he has irritated/calloused spots on each leg. I'm wondering if...

    Sexing Newborns

Thanks for all the help, folks! This one has just been driving me bonkers haha, but I agree with consensus that we're female! I help her up next to one of the torties last night and even though they look a bit different (I think because the torties are more "plump" and the tabby is a sleek...

    Sexing Newborns

Nope, the one in my profile is one of the torties, the one I'm having trouble with is the only tabby of the litter. I think what's throwing me off is that the torties have little extra folds of skin next to the vulva but this one doesn't have that.

    Sexing Newborns

Thank you for the diagram! I'm a vet tech and very familiar with sexing kittens, however this is my first brand new litter and I'm just having a hard time since everything is so small - plus it looks more female to me but different than the other 3 females so I'm just not certain!

    Sexing Newborns

Hello! My foster cat gave birth to 4 babies Friday afternoon, so they are 1.5 days old. She had 3 torties (obviously female) and one tabby whom I'm having trouble determining the sex of. It doesn't look quite the same as the others but looks more female than male, except at certain angles. I...
