There have been reports that cats have also become ill consuming the pouches.
In my opinion, I would steer clear of this company until a full laboratory report is released outlining exactly what products were tested, exactly what the products were tested for, and the findings of those tests.
To date, Weruva have reported that they have only tested for heavy metals.
There are a number of other elements that could contaminate food and make an animal very ill. I wouldn't be so relieved just yet until a full report is released.

Petbarn's Facebook page have posted about the product recall and there are hundreds of comments underneath the post from individuals who have fed their cats BFF, and consequently, their cats have become very, very ill. There have sadly also been fatalities.
I also tried to call Weruva Customer Service yesterday immediately after receiving a text from Petbarn. I was advised by a woman that I would be called back in the afternoon with more information.
