What's The Weather And Temperature Like Where You Live?? - 2020

7-8 inches of very wet, very heavy snow today. The most snow we have gotten this early in October in 140 years of weather record keeping. It didn’t quite hit the snow levels of the Halloween blizzard of 1991, but within an inch. That year we were hit with snow and ice on 10/31 and didn’t see...

    is it normal

Feline number 1 is either in heat or is already pregnant and this is why she is pushing her current litter of kitten away. It’s just hormones and instinct when they are getting ready for a new litter. Do you have plans for all these kittens? Momma number 1 needs to get to the vet and be...

    Should I or not

Bad idea. Most cats and especially one who you know doesn’t like other cats is going to be very very unhappy with a cat visitor. It can result in aggression and inappropriate urination that lasts long after the visit. If it ever is at a point where this cat needs to live with you then you...

Are you absolutely sure they are ticks and not bed bugs? They do look alike except for the color, with bed bugs being reddish.

My cat wants nothing to do with humans

When I adopted by Willow as a one year old which was nine years ago, she was also terrified of people. She still pretty much is of strangers but has warmed, very very slowly to me. That your girl will come out to eat, play and use the litterbox is a great sign. You just need to let her...

    The Positive Thread 2020

Up really early, got my walk in. Went to the hardware store, the fabric store and got groceries. Gave the squirrels fresh water and corn. Now there is nothing to do for the rest of the afternoon but sit back, watch it snow and work on my jigsaw puzzle.

Question of the Day - Monday, October 19, 2020

I think this might be a baby toy - something that might have been on a stroller or car seat where the child could slide the toy back and forth on a pole.

What's The Weather And Temperature Like Where You Live?? - 2020

Supposed to get five inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. But the rest of the week it will be in the upper 30’s so it’s going to melt.

Does she have WiFi? If so, an Alexa or Google Assistant is a great gift. I got Alexa for my mom last year. It helps her know date and time, it plays her 30’s music on request and she uses it for alarms, shopping lists and reminders. For her birthday I added WIFi light controls so she can...

Question of the Day - Monday, October 19, 2020

Willow is kind of fifty fifty with cat springs and balls of any sort. She loves to knock and chase them down the hallway and then under the closet doors.

    The Positive Thread 2020

I spent a quiet afternoon today reading magazines online - a half dozen on home decorating, as many gossip magazines and a few travel ones. Most libraries participate in the RB Digital online lending library where you can “check out” and read current magazines, books and audiobooks. I have...

Two thousand piece puzzles are hard but fun if it’s a good image. I always start with colors too, and I also enjoy sorting. You may need to pick up a table lamp though so that you have enough light.

Kitten got spooked and peed on wall, is this normal?

Poor girl. Yes, it is normal and common for a very frightened kitten or cat to lose control and urinate. And kittens have less control to begin with. So I wouldn’t be concerned about that but she may be skittish about being in her hammock for a while as they often remember and avoid being in...

What's The Weather And Temperature Like Where You Live?? - 2020

Birdbath was frozen this morning so that the poor birdies couldn’t get a drink. I zoomed ( very cold and with wet hair) out to the garage and got the birdbath heater plugged in.
