You can find an article(s) supporting one argument and find other article(s) disputing the same argument. Both, with supporting evidence and their own research and analysis.
Therein lies the problem, you either believe one, or the other.
Or, take the middle ground and take both with a grain...
I'll chime in as well.
My cat's wet foods of choice are Fancy Feast pate (chicken/beef flavor/liver&chicken), Performatrin Ultra pate (Turkey,Salmon,Duck) pate.
Once in awhile I feed Merrick - but it's a tad expensive, so generally don't very often.
I've tried many...
Great website. I refer to it as well, from time to time.
I tried Holistic Select food (Catfooddb - 10/10 paws rating, in nutrition and calorie breakdown) and my cat wouldn't touch it - multiple times:
Holistic Select Grain Free Chicken Pate Cat Food Review.
I had bought a case (6 chicken, 6...
Hey folks, well this is new to me.
I was disinfecting some items in my tub with a diluted bleach solution (for my aquarium) and although I had thoroughly washed my hands afterwards, my cat seems to go positively nuts trying to rub her head and nibble my hand. Almost like a catnip response.
I should actually start recording on the calendar how often, in fact I think I'll do that.
I'm going to say - 1-2x per month she will have diarrhea but to be sure, and with my memory these days lol - I'll start recording.
Ok, thanks again - good suggestion. I will try the butter as well.
Also - I had completely forgotten. About 3-4 months ago, she pooped on some sheets of printer paper I had on the living room floor (to be shredded thankfully), then tried to bury it with the paper. It was of course...
Last June 2019, she was in for an itch/raw spot that she gets on the back of her neck once a year.
I was prescribed some Hibitane ointment and that worked to decrease her itching. The thought was that she was rubbing on something, but I never discovered what that something was. It wasn't...
- The hairballs are independent of diarrhea.
- I have not given her something for hairballs.
- Very rarely do I give treats, but if I do it's the Friskies party mix ~ 3 pieces. No immediate, or delayed negative reaction that I can tell.
- I give her FF 'Chicken', FF 'Beef' pate, as well as FF...
Hi folks, occasionally I will come home to find hair ball vomit, or once in awhile poop on my bed covers.
If it's poop - there's a good chance it's diarrhea.
The latest poop event was early this morning.
I woke up to Willow scratching at the covers, apparently trying to cover her poop.
Well that makes sense.
I'm wondering also if it's possible the hair loss is stress related.
I just looked at some of my media pictures posted from 5 years ago when I had first bought her from the breeder (she's 7 now). Very similar abrasion and area.
I'll upload a picture I took a couple days...
So, my cat (indoor only) somehow scraped the back of her neck and it appeared raw(reddish), so I took her to the Vet.
He said the wound was superficial and likely caused by rubbing against something. He cleaned the wound and then applied a product called Hibitane (1% chlorhexidine acetate)...
I've tried time and time again with different foods - thinking maybe, just maybe she'll think it's a Fancy Feast offering but with new texture/flavor!
Yes, my cat (and previous) love FF pates.
If I get lucky she'll eat Friskies once in awhile, but I try not to because those poops stink...
Yeah, I've tried newer/older dishes, placing them in slightly different places.
She's not a big jumper but perhaps on top of a chair might peak her curiosity.
I even ordered a couple things from Amazon recently, some food puzzle mats. We'll see.
Well I spoke too soon.
Here we are Thursday and in my quest to alter her wet food brand of choice, she's lately now not thrilled about wet food, period.
Unless I hand feed her small chunks of Fancy Feast pate or the newer Holistic Cat Chicken pate, she'd rather just eat her newer dry food.
Well - I tried mixing the 2 wet foods together and she accepted it, eating out of my hand.
I spent the better part of the a full day with her yesterday and she ate almost all of her food.
She definitely seems to eat more when I'm around and considerably less when I'm out.
