Ringworm in 4 Month Old Kittens

Just wanted to add I got a spot of ringworm on my shoulder about 10 days ago and I started putting Lotrimin Ultra ("butenafine") on it Saturday night when it was maybe 1 cm or slightly larger in diameter. It's already quite a bit lighter after only 3 days / 72 hours - looks more like a light...

Ringworm in 4 Month Old Kittens

I'm pretty sure anything severe or terminal would be much worse, even if ringworm is annoying... I have a kitten who has it and has given it to me and probably to the other kitten - we're starting treatment for all of us and will see how it goes, but everything I've read sounds like it's...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I met the kittens today and they are adorable. One of them reminds me a bit of my previous kitty Squeaky. They both have CH and hers is a bit worse but her fur is the softest I've ever felt. I've decided to adopt them both and am really excited. I hope to take them home in about a week. :)

    I'll never forget Squeaky

I had a dream where she walked up to my bed and I realized it was all just a mistake and she was really ok. Just a terrible mix up at the vet but she was alive and healthy. It was a little painful to wake up but the dream itself was such a relief... my other memories are still tied up with her...

Is it funny that someone wants to brush their cat teeth?

My diabetic cat was named 'Fluffers'... named before I was old enough to know that was a role in the porn industry and not just an innocent variant on Fluffy... Bought insulin for her for 9 years and definitely got a lot of grins heh but it never bothered me because I knew why. Don't worry...

Liver failure - is she hungry, stressed or just uncomfortable?

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles - the only thing I might recommend is if she's acting hungry but not really eating, I found baby food (pure chicken or beef, nothing with onions or other things in the ingredients) would often go down well. It seems like the consistency and flavor is...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I have thought this too but then also chuckle a little because Squeaky did not really like most other cats and was jealous as hell if she saw them getting attention. ;) But I like to think she may be a little more charitable if she can see me now. I'm mostly kidding, but it did make me laugh to...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I will take a look at FB, thank you for the idea! I rarely use it lately but definitely will for something like this. :)

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

Just an update, I found this amazing video of a cat that seems about the same level of severity as one of the kittens (the more severe case) - I'm going to build the walker and see how it goes. I'm hopeful because the kitten in the video is 10 weeks which is the same age the kittens will be when...

    GI Lymphoma in Stomach

My kitty was diagnosed with lymphoma earlier this year. Chemo + Steroids gave me another 3 months with her which I don't regret. It slowed the cancer but unfortunately did not stop or reverse it. I miss her every day, but I don't regret that we did chemo. For a while she actually got quite a...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I've never seen that but I'll take a look! My kitty did used to love CatTV but I think that was mostly because it was birds flitting back and forth :p

Thank you! I will take a look at both of these :)

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I'm thinking at least to start I'll keep them confined to one room and just spread puppy pads everywhere and see how it goes. It's a room I spend 80-90% of my time (it's where I work and sleep) so they won't be lonely and I can get a sense for how severe the issues are.

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

Thanks, I will take a look! The webcam sounds awesome. My biggest fear is I'll adopt and then realize the cat is going to be miserable if I leave her for 8 hours a day and I think that would probably kill me - I don't want the cat to suffer but I've also never had to give up a pet and I'm not...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I have to dig up the links but it did look like at least one cart manufacturer specifically makes them for cats now! I would just want to avoid ordering a new one every 2 weeks since they grow so fast when young, but if it's adjustable that would be perfect. May I ask what cart manufacturers...

2 Kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia - Ideas on PT or similar?

I'm considering adopting 2 kittens with CH. 1 has a more mild-moderate form and can get around pretty well; the other is more severe and right now at 7-8 weeks mostly drags herself with her front legs and isn't able to stand up very well or walk around easily. I had a cat with CH for 14 years...

    I'll never forget Squeaky

I still miss her... saw a black shadow out of the corner of my eye where she would usually sit. She was black and my floors are very dark so I was always just barely missing tripping over her. It's still a reflex but such a painful one.

Wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge, my baby Lit

I'm just so sorry and I'm going through the same thing right now. It hurts so much. :(

Or I see a black shadow out of the corner of my eye and turn thinking it's her, because she used to follow me everywhere. :(

Thank you guys, it really helps. I'm still such a wreck. I keep expecting her to saunter by and then realize it will never happen again...
