A bit of update.
Giada's poop is rather fine, if I can say something good about poop. She's producing once/twice a day, most of the time normal, a few times a bit softer than normal.
What hasn't changed is that the kitty is always hungry and eager to have something to chew. She sniffs...
@She's a witch ,
No, the vet didn't mention it, but a person I know did, and told me sanitize not only her spots and tray, but the whole house as well, with steam, possibly, and several times. I thought about it and I decided that it would have been nearly impossible to do a thorough cleaning...
RIP Miss Grumpy, you left your footprints not on one heart, but on many. You won't be missed by one, but by many.
And you will be remembered by many. This isn't a privilege of every cat's.
MissClouseau, you and your neighbors did the best for her, none of you could never regret a thing. She had...
Do you think I should keep on giving her the Saccharomyces Boulardii for some more time?
She had it into her meals twice a day from May 31 to June 14, and then once a day till next Thursday (when the box is over). Is it enough? Would it be bad to continue?
More than three weeks later, there are improvements.
I have tried with the suggested S. Boulardii. The first ten-twelve days 125 mg twice a day, then once a day.
The kitty's poop has improved a lot and now I'd say we're back to normal. She only had one single day of soft poop three...
My kitty is coughing from time to time, and she's playful, eating, playing and all.
On last Monday I had her checked with US chest scan and chest x-ray. The vet found a very slightly mild possible myocarditis and saw some bronchus not looking right in the x-ray, so it's possible that your kitty...
I have learned that it's much better being among cats than people.
Cats don't lie, don't betray, and the love they can give you is times-fold what the best person can give to you.
This is what I learned.
It's a thing that nearly nobody does, it's more typical of those facilities who do radio iodine, because it's key to the therapy. Without a scintigraphy, the dosage of radio iodine will be a guess, and this might be not too good for an HT kitty.
It's sort of an x-ray, but has to be done under a...
A quick update.
I started the S. Boulardii on Sunday, so it's four days and a half now.
Giada still poops two times a day. After a couple of days the texture was much better, but last night her poop was soft again. I hope it's just a single case. I will keep giving her 125 mg of this yeast...
I forgot to say that when Giada first arrived, I would feed as much food as she wanted, but it seemed to me it was never enough.
She could eat 10 cans a day if I gave her them.
This makes me think that she asks for food not because she's hungry, but because she's bored or a glutton.
She chews or...
Yes, of course. My question was to ask you how unsafe it is.
I'll try them tomorrow, provided my pharmacy has it.
We tried many of them, both for pets/cats and for humans. No luck!
Yes, we could try that, I'll have to discuss this with the vet and have an appointment. This new world is not...
I asked the vet if I could give the kitten a new course of Panacur, given the situation, but he said no.
With this situation of this virus, it's very hard for me to go to the clinic as often as I used to do in the past. There was a time when I was nearly living in there. I would just walk in and...
We already had a scan done at the end of February, and it was fine with very slight evidence of an enteritis. The vet didn't think it was reason for concern.
We ran two or three fecal tests post Panacur, and they were all negative. I asked the vet if it was the case to administer a new round...
