As far as Pepcid A/C goes, it is used to curb over acidity in both humans and cats. Not speciic to the pancreas either, but if you have a cat that...
In regards to using AloeVerajuice for constipation, what is the recommended dosage? Also, which brands are considered the best/safest?
I found one post on here after doing a search that said George's AloeVeraJuice was good and that they used 15 drops twice per day. I'm not sure how big...
I've so far changed the food he's been eating to make it a grain free foods and have used the AloeVerajuice mix but nothing's worked. I checked further in regards to his symptoms. Diarrhea and vomiting are not the only issues we've noticed. He eats like a pig but has lost so much weight. He's...
Yes! I agree with LDG... I believe that food sensitivity should not be a reason to DECREASE the number of foods fed or cause one to go on a search for that one perfect food. Food sensitivity is NOT NORMAL. It's OK to feed a limited menu for the short term, but for the long term, fixing the...
Where do you live? Is there a holistic vet trained in Chinese Medicine you can get to? If you're in the U.S., you can search here: http://www.ahvma.org
What is your kitty eating?
It may be as simple as needing a different diet and appropriate probiotics.

This sounds so much like our Chumley when we first rescued him. We worked with our traditional vets for six months trying to resolve his diarrhea and itching / overgrooming. He mowed his abdomen and forelegs clean.
I highly recommend seeing if there is a holistic vet trained in Chinese Medicine...
Oh, I'm so sorry! But it's really not uncommon with rescue kitties (even if they're not labeled as rescues!) to have to sort out their GI system function - and it can be frustrating and take some work.
When we rescued our Chumley, he had horrible diarrhea. In the end, he was treated for...
Oh poor baby!!!! :hugs: :heart2:
As to the allergy testing.... it's notoriously unreliable in cats. :(
I don't know if you're willing to consider alternative treatments or not. But allergies are indication of immune system gone haywire.
With Western Meds, the approach is to identify the...
Yes. For starters, just to be clear, he's an indoor only cat? And you mention blood work, but have any - or several - fecals been done? And not just the in-house-check-for-roundworm stuff, but where it's sent out to look for giardia, coccidia, T. Foetus, etc? I know it's unlikely, but these...

Oh no! I'm so sorry about the blockage. :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: !!!!!!!!!!!
OK. PLEASE do not be offended by me asking this. Most fecals check for typical things: round worm, etc. Giardia, Coccidia, T. Foetus require special lab work. You're SURE all these things were...
FIV kitties do not have special dietary needs, but they will do best on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. I'm surprised at your vet - an issue with diarrhea is chronic dehydration, and the BEST way to address that is with canned food!
FYI, I have an FIV+ kitty, and he had (note HAD)...
Oh poor baby!!!! :hugs: :rub: I have allergies, and the hives and itching can drive me right up a wall. I have itched myself to bleeding - but not like that! I'm so glad you worked - and are working - so hard to help him. :hugs:
Questions:
1) Is the RC you're feeding him dry or wet?
2)...
