Saw an ad for Stella and Chewys freeze dryed or frozen cat food. Has anyone used these? If so do you incorporate it along with wet and/or kibble? Or is it a stand alone food?

The freeze-dried and frozen foods are complete meals. The frozen, you just de-thaw and feed. The freeze dried, you're supposed to rehydrate it with water or whatever liquid you want.

I have some of the freeze dried nuggets. It's a bit high in bone and makes one of my cats throw up, but I will take some and sprinkle it over their wet food from time to time.

Both the freeze dried and frozen Stella and Chewy's contain bone with the exception being their newer frozen Selects which are bone free. They also have canned (actually it comes in a box). The canned is cooked.

They have just introduced 2 varieties of dry kibble plus a kibble plus raw mix. They contain lentils and peas. I was kind of surprised by that but it is what it is.

We feed our cats the Stella's Selects (they make turkey and chicken) and our cats like them. They're little medallions that make a good snack. The ingredients are very decent, with a simple recipe, nothing extra.

Although the cats like some of the freeze-dried S&C foods, they're very bony so I won't feed them, particularly since one of our cats tends to get constipated.

As EmersonandEvie EmersonandEvie noted, any of the S&C foods can be fed on their own since they're complete meals but it's really worth sorting out what the ingredients are since they can really vary. (Like darg darg , I'm also surprised they'd put lentils and peas in any of their foods!)
