Hi everyone! I'm new here, and recently rescued a baby kitten... He's absolutely gorgeous and I am curious as to what breed/breeds he may be... He's kinda skinny, long legs, has a beautiful & unique tabby-type marbled pattern... Very lovey (even to the point of pushing his way past my phone to get in my lap as we speak ) & sharp as a tac when he is playing... Here's some pictures.

He's adorable! I would describe him as a brown classic tabby domestic shorthair. Most cats are not any particular breed.

"Classic tabby" refers to his tabby pattern. This is one of the oldest known mutations in the domestic cat. Here is a nice video that discusses cat domestication and the spread of the classic tabby pattern through the ancient world: Cat domestication: From farms to sofas

Hi AWinnell87 and welcome to the forum !

Yes, he really is gorgeous !

Do be careful with his eating out of those cans, though..........the edges are super-sharp, which makes for a real risk of his cutting his lips or tongue !

Paper plates work really well. Small china plates ("side plates"), the same. Ceramic bowls? Large, wide bowls are OK.......plates are preferred, though.

Plastic dishes, no......many cats are allergic to plastic and develop allergic reactions on their lips and chins.

But, please, no cans!

Hope that helps !
