Sisters Suddenly Fighting

For some reason, that I cannot figure out, my two sisters are fighting. The one that is starting it, is being aggressive to the dogs and humans in the house as well. All of the sudden. Nothing happened. We live in the middle of 40 acres and there are no strays around to taunt her thru the windows. Shes an inside cat, that usually goes outside to sit on her perch, on the porch, for like an hour each day. Their food is separate. I've tried the vanilla extract thing and its not working. She's acting like a totally different cat. On high alert, when she is normally very docile. Doesn't want to come out of my daughters room, which is where she spends most of her time anyhow. But even to eat/drink. Any other suggestions?

yes they are. spayed when we brought home from the shelter. We've had them for about 5 yrs now. They were kittens that were brought in together so assumed they are litter mates

They have their normal sibling scuffs but this started one night. Middle of the night, woke the whole house up. And, has not stopped. the sister walks around on egg shells

When a usually good tempered cat suddenly becomes aggressive it could be that she is having some health issues or is in pain. Better bring her to the vet to check further.

Is it possible she is injured? If there is a chance then take her to the vet. Cats hide their pain!

Sarah acted like she was scared but just fine after getting hit by a car! Her big tale? She was found hiding in the garage and her tail was down, dragging on the ground.....the next day she peed blood & we rushed her to the vet. Sarah almost died..... I regret waiting to take her to the vet that first day she was acting weird. When they shaved her hips it showed she was purple everywhere on her hips where she let me pat her backside like she normally does. She didn’t show her pain! So my advice when your cat suddenly starts acting all weird and you can’t figure out why is to check your cat overly very carefully ...... and when in doubt take them to the vet.

BUT! No. I do not think she is hurt in any way. Shes done nothing out of the norm. She'll let us pick her up and rub her down. Her teeth all look fine. She does have to take prendnisone, but shes' been on that for a while now. She's eating /drinking normal (if I take it in to my daughters room) and she is peeing normal - and all over the floor when shes about to attack the other cat.
