According to the internet; today is National Chocolate with Almonds Day. I think I can get behind celebrating that! :yummy:

What chore do you procrastinate on the most?

I think lately it's closet/desk organizing here. Or maybe dusting. I always feel like I want everything else done before I dust so then I can dust and then vacuum. Clutter is a constant battle that stands in the way so lately I'm trying to make myself dust as I go. With the closets; gosh I just want to do it all in one shot...not start and stop. So I put it off till I have a good block of time. Those don't come often enough. Plus it's not something like dishes or bathrooms that HAVE to be done all the time.

With that; back to purging my desk! :soldier:

Dusting because it's so hard to move everything, we have so much clutter. :sigh:

Closets :help::eek:
The walk in ones aren't so bad, but the little one in our den is so easy to crack the door, hope you don't get stuck in an avalanche, and toss something on top of the pile and slam the door shut. Just put your hands in your pockets and walk away whistling.
I read once that a good way to keep that from happening is keep your closet doors open. If I did that, we'd be buried alive :flail: We just cleaned out our pantry and it took about 40 minutes. I figure if we both work on the closet starting tomorrow, we could have it done by 2027 or so.

For an everyday type chore, doing dishes. When to comes to something I need to do eventually, re-organizing and sorting the crawlspace/storage room, and my spare room, that has become the junk room.

Emptying out and taking out the garbage :lol: I am often squeezing in a couple more things in there (Nothing gross or overspilling, I promise!) before finally hauling it out.

And of course, the common one that is dusting. I am very diligent when I do do the deed since I have a dust allergy, but it just reappears so darn often and fast! Especially when you have pets and books everywhere. I'm like nooooo and just don't feel like going at it so soon again. I'll end up leaving it until an extra day at least.

:flail:Many years when our son was younger, I asked him to clean his room; it looked like a hurricane hit it and I couldn't handle it anymore. He shut his door and holed up in his bedroom. About 30 minutes or so later, he came out and said, "My room's done." And I thanked him. And the room was completely cleaned. But I knew that was too quick, even for him. I opened his closet door....and everything tumbled out. And, of course, it came down on me. It was like something from a tv show. He couldn't help it and started laughing. And he had to clean his room. Again. The right way. I gave birth to a Brat.

I abhor washing dishes by hand. Never. Ever. EVER. When our dishwasher broke down several years ago, Rick wasn't in any real hurry to get another one. He kept saying, "The couple who washes dishes together stays together!" Until I finally said, "You want cookies? You'd best be getting a dishwasher! I swear on everything that's holy that you will never EVER have another homemade cookie!" I think it was merely days later that we finally had the Bosch.

My mama didn't raise me to wash dishes by hand.

When I visited my brother in Texas I noticed that all the apartments have dishwashers. The ones in NY don't. At least they didn't when I was renting.

My dishwasher broke a few months ago and I SWORE I was going to replace it right away. I still haven't, and every time I do the dishes by hand I curse my procrastination. :paperbag:
