I don't know why today feels more mondayey than normal but I'm glad I resisted getting back in bed this morning. So easy question today!

Do you wear glasses or contacts? Where do you do your shopping for them?

I wear glasses and I have since I was a kid. I wore contacts for years but after I got an infection in the cornea of one eye I gave them up. They just weren't as comfortable anymore. I miss them sometimes; but most of the time it's much easier to just switch glasses and not worry about things.

I still like to buy my glasses in-store. I always seem to try dozens on before I decide on a pair. I mean if I'm going to wear them on my face all day, every day...I better know I like them! They aren't cheap either. I also like having prescription sunglasses for driving especially. I always did without until sometime after DH and I were married. Now I can't imagine not having them. Although I did manage to misplace my last pair right before we took a trip to Disney. I did ok there; but I also wasn't driving. At least I didn't have to switch between pairs every time we went in and out of buildings.

I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old. If contacts were available back then, they would have been of the glass variety, and even if we could have afforded them, my astigmatism ruled them out. Wearing glasses can be a pain in the butt at times- especially in the winter- but I've muddled through all these years, and see no reason to change. We buy ours at a Council Opticians near us.

I wear glasses, I have since I was 8. I needed them before that but I didn't know that it was abnormal for things to be blurry in the distance, and since I didn't go to public school it never became an issue. I did go to public school for 3rd grade and that's when we found out I needed glasses, because I couldn't see the board.

I have a fairly severe astigmatism and am very nearsighted. I've never even tried contacts; I don't like the idea of anything touching my eyeball. I haven't gotten new glasses for years, so I'm definitely overdue, but that means I don't remember where I got them last time. This time I intend to get them at Costco. Much cheaper! I'll probably get some prescription sunglasses too.

Just reading glasses, which I purchase from the dollar store. I have maybe a dozen which end up in every room in the house. Once a week I gather them up and place them in a basket so I can grab a pair if there are no other handy. Also about once a week I sit on, stand on or otherwise break a pair which is why I buy them cheap. Eye doc is perfectly okay with that.

I have been a little nearsighted since I was about 12. I wore contacts for awhile and gave them up, I never did get to a point where they didn't annoy me. I could pass the eye test for my drivers license without them until about 10 years ago. I usually only wore my glasses to drive even though I didn't have the restriction until about 10 years ago. I now need bifocals and the nearsightedness has gotten a little worse so I wear glasses all the time except when I am home. I usually just go to Lenscrafters. I know there are places that are cheaper but they are close and convenient. I have the beginnings of cataracts so there may come a point where I will need to go to an ophthalmologist to get those taken care of.

I've had glasses since I was a kid. I went through a brief few years of wearing contacts but they made my eyes worse so the last time I wore them was on my wedding day.

Everyone in my family wears them so finally when my husband started wearing glasses about two years ago he looked normal to me. Actually kind of handsome.

I used to wear glasses and contract lenses but now I don't need them. I hated wearing the contract lenses because they were too hard to put in my eyes. I used to by my glasses at BJ's but the last two pair I brought did not work well so that is when I quit buying them.

I don't wear glasses or contacts, but I do have a pair of minimal prescription glasses on hand in case I ever need them. My dad, before I no longer qualified under his extended health care benefits, told me to get an eye exam, just in case. My vision is ALMOST perfect, but I got the glasses anyway. If I ever need a pair in the future, as someone who does not have benefits, I can reuse the frames. I'll admit though, that I have pulled them out when I'm tired and have eye strain driving in the dark. They, just to say, "cut the glare", and make driving less tiresome. I've had this pair of glasses for 16 years now!

I’ve worn glasses since the 4th grade when my mom pointed out a rabbit in the yard and I said, “What rabbit?”

I got contact lenses when I was 16 (even though I had a severe astigmatism in my right eye) and loved them, but when we moved to Utah when I was in my 40s, I had to stop wearing them. There’s so little humidity in Utah that it felt like the lenses were glued to my eyeballs. Very uncomfortable. I went back to glasses which I hate, but I can’t see past the end of my nose without them so they’re the first thing I reach for in the morning.

I got glasses in second grade, and contacts in eighth, which I've worn since, except a couple times as a teenager I ended up with eye infections.

I prefer contacts because I feel like I see better in them, whereas I feel like I have tunnel vision in glasses. Sunglasses are easier, too. I don't have to switch glasses and can just push them up on my head.

I have no issue putting contacts in and out, but the idea of lasik makes me squeamish.

Oh, and I go to Lenscrafters.

I have worn glasses since I was young. I have reading glasses and driving glasses. I get my glasses online at Zenni. You can get a pair of prescription glasses there for $6.95 if your prescription is not too strong! At the eye doctor I would have had to pay 4-5 hundred dollars.

The ones I get at Zenni's have averaged about $35 dollars, though my prescription polarized sunglasses were $54 (on sale) including the oleophobic coating I got on them. I ordered an extra pair of driving glasses with clip on sunglasses for $15! They are very nice glasses and with the prices, I have ordered 5 pair in the last year. The total, with shipping was less than $200!!!

As you can tell, I am a big fan of Zenni and inexpensive prices! If you want to know why glasses are so ridiculously expensive, this video is very informative.

I had perfect vision until my late thirties then the old blinkers went downhill. I wear varifocals from Specsavers in the UK.
Everything is really really blurred without them. I wouldn't be safe to drive without them.

Glasses but not all the time, and I have worn contacts before, but they scratched my eyes up and I walked around looking like someone with an anger problem that blew a bunch of blood vessels :(

I've worn glasses since I was a teenager....never have been interested in contacts.Had cataract surgery this past winter and have multi pairs of readers stashed everywhere.I did go ahead and take advantage of the free glasses thru medicare and got bifocals. Not crazy about them but....

Fortunately I inherited good eyesight from my parents so never needed glasses. However, the last year or two I've noticed I need the lowest strength reading glasses for very small print, (1.00).
