E50F4D97-EBCF-4D31-8746-059B7F7AF997.jpeg Hi all, I have a one year old girl who I’ve had since she was born. She was in heat and quite a while a go and recently my new neighbour has gotten a few Tom cats. They recently have started sitting outside my house and she would run to them. Well now she’s gotten quite large, she was always thin and never gained weight also when I used to rub her belly I could never feel her nipples but now I can feel them a lot! She eats a lot more and is constantly sleeping. Also she has white crusty stuff around her nipples? And they have gotten a lot darker, I know it’s weird that I know my cats whole body but I always check her from top to toe to make sure everything is all good. She is always coming to me meowing also. She doesn’t normally do this. I have posted a few pictures down below of her just to see if anyone can shine a bit of light on my situation. Please do not comment hate I am honestly not interested in any rude comments I just want to know about my cat. I do not plan on putting any of the kittens in a shelter or what not. They will be staying with me and I’m quite happy with it. Thanks all and I hope everyone is having a good day so far.

If she has been near tomcats, she is pregnant. Cats are very fertile. How long ago did you see her in heat?

Most cats do well enough without any intervention, but sometimes they need help. Make sure you find a vet that you can call at any hour in case of an emergency.

You'll want to have her and all the kittens spayed/neutered, or you'll have a few hundred cats in a couple years. Female kittens can go into heat as early as 4 months, and cats can get pregnant again right after giving birth, so be careful until everybody is done.

If you have a decent vet you might want to take her in so they will know what's going on and so they can check her. They maybe able to tell you when or close to and what to do if something happens and what to look for.

In the meantime check out the articles here on pregnant cats and kittens.

Please keep mom 100% inside until she has had the kittens and been spayed. You don’t want her having the kittens outside, or getting pregnant immediately after delivery.

Now would also be a good time to stock up on kitten supplies. Get powdered kitten milk replacer, needleless syringes, and a small scale to weigh them.

Keep us posted!

Powdered kitten milk formula. You want to avoid cow's milk. If you can't find the powdered kitten milk replacement, look for goat's milk.
