I found this on their website but I don't see a date so not sure if it is recent or older. You might want to call the company directly and ask them. If they haven't changed it, maybe it's just a bad batch?

I am grateful for this post Kieka. I find Ziwipeak a caring company (if there is such a thing?)
Agar agar is a perfectly safe ingredient that is sort of like a jell consistency I believe.
