So we're fighting the fleas here right now, and I had the bright idea that I was going to bathe the cats before vacuuming, etc. Mind you I continue to think this is a bad idea every time I try it, idk how some people do it! These calm cats bathing, I don't believe they actually exist. I only got through two out of the four, I did Jade first and then Amber, who thrashed around so much I was afraid of accidentally hurting her. She was so freaked out she peed in the tub, I felt so bad but I couldn't stop because there was already soap on her. I stopped after number 2 because I just don't have the heart or the energy to continue. Idk how Piccolo would be, but I already know Sully is a nightmare. I feel bad that I tried at all. Well, maybe the two will still have a little relief and enjoy the squeaky clean feeling? Does anyone here hold the secret to cat bathing??? I'm going to get topical stuff, but last time Piccolo started drooling everywhere and I had to wash it off her, and on top of it the stuff didn't even get rid of the fleas. It's been forever since I've had fleas and it's so frustrating!

If the product made the cat drool everywhere, you probably didn't put it high enough on the neck/back of the head. Did you use an OTC product from the grocery store or one from the vet? OTC products can seriously harm cats. You also have to treat not just your home in correlation with the cats, but you have to continue to treat the cats for at least 3 or more months to kill all the life stages of the fleas. Flea eggs and larvae can lay dormant in the nooks and crannies of your home for months or longer. Put a couple flea collars in your vacuum bag/canister to catch any you suck up.

Don't bathe the cat. Especially if they clearly hate it. The stress can do more harm than good.

I don't plan on bathing again. It's the first time I've ever tried to bathe those two at all. I was using a generic of frontline, I ordered it online.
