I have a one-year-old black cat who I fed the same kitten food both wet and dry for most of his first year. So when I switched him over to adult cat food I chose Purina wet food and Rachel Ray’s dry food. Then I started noticing that he had these dandruff pieces on his Furrer when I would brush him and that he seemed on interested in his food sometimes. Do I need to find a better food for him or am I just feeding him too frequently or what.

I don't have any experience with those particular foods. Can you buy the same brand of kitten wet & dry, but only in adult? A lot of cats have dandruff, some more than others just by virtue of their genetics. But, if the dandruff didn't appear until the change in food, go with the adult version of what you had in the kitten version and see what happens.

Hi!
Instead of Rachel Ray's food, maybe try Blue Wilderness, American Journey or Iams.
Is your baby eating the wet food ok?
Also keep brushing, and maybe try adding some fish oil for his dry skin :)

My cat Tuff is black also with no dandruff. He gets 2 wet meals a day with a few tsp water added. Dry snack before bed. Maybe you could cut back on the dry and give more wet. Are you feeding half wet, half dry?

I think purina is not a really good brand. I feed my cat authority from petsmart and he's doing great on it.
