Rescued him while he was stray and lost, put up ads on facebook and posters around trying to find the owner but no one claimed him so we kept him. Obviously we have no papers about him we kinda just have him, so that's why I'm curious.

A bsolutely beautiful! He is so lucky you took him in! since there are no papers, he is considered a domestic shorthair (DSH), grey and black tabby with white. Tabbies always have a 'M' on their froehead right between and above their eyes, his is there, although the white covers part of it. Very unusual with all that white!
