Help! What Is This?

Does anyone know what this is? I just noticed this on the back of our 6-month old cat. It's been a while since we owned a cat, so we get panicky every time I see something unusual like this.

You really should have that looked at by a vet so it is diagnosed and treated properly.

Yeah, that doesn't look good. Have no idea what it is, but a vet needs to look at it. Hopefully, it is no big deal and something easily treated.

Vet. Soon. It may be a simple injury, or it may be an infection of some sort. Either way, you want it diagnosed and treated promptly.

It appears to be dermatitis of some sort. A topical cream prescribed by a vet would likely help. Can you see a vet? Does the kitten have fleas?
