Hello My Friends
Ginger and I were inspired by Buddy the adventure cat, and maybe this really isn't an adventure, but we had a good time. It was beautiful fall day here in the high mountain desert near Tehachapi. Just the sort of late afternoon day that that beckons you outside. So on went Gingers harness and we headed outside. First down the trail towards Chessie's meadow. A great place for a kitty to hunt for Lizards. While we were out we worked on walking on a lead. What a stubborn, uncooperative little knothead. "Nope you will have to drag me". Enough of that, lets go down to where the wall and lamp posts are. This is cool, but no lizards here either. There's a raven, he's big. We'll just leave him alone. Enough adventure for one day...what's for dinner. Too much fun!

Congrats to you and Ginger on your first adventure cat outing together! Juniper barely got outside of our door, let alone actually outdoors (we live in an apartment building) before the elevator scared her, so I'd say Ginger is doing really well

Hello My Friends
Thank you catsknowme for the compliment. Ginger's description in her file at the vet says "Tiger Cat". So you are right on calling her her a tiger cat! She seems to think she is a terrible beast, a ferocious tiger. Also thank you to Etarre. Keep working with Juniper. Find a secluded grassy area to start out with. She will enjoy sniffing about, and will eventually look forward to outings. Ginger and I will be having more adventures and will be sharing them with all my friends here.
See you in the funny pages...

Hello My Friends
Life is good here in the high mountain desert. Ginger and I headed out for a little adventure. As mentioned earlier we are both inspired and impressed with Buddy the Adventure Cat. So in the top photo Ginger is looking very serious and ferocious, " My prey is trembling with fear". Then she is giving us her master of all I survey pose.
Have a great day from Jack and Ginger

What impressive photos! Sweet little Ginger looks very intimidating in these poses. I'm sure the small desert pray animals were suitably impressed. She seems to be adapting to the role of 'adventure cat' very well.

Awww! Ginger and Gypsy look so cool on their harnesses! Ginger's gorgeous tiger stripes really set off that spectacular blue Sierra sky and the green of the juniper tree (I think it is a juniper).
And it is great to see them get outside to enjoy a safe explore :runningcat:

Hello My Friends
Thank you catsknowme , Ginger and I both appreciate your kind words. We were out today enjoying the blue skies and juniper trees. More practice walking on a lead and sniffing and exploring. Lovely Gypsy's tree climbing inspired us, so Ginger had her first go at climbing one of the juniper trees. It was her first attempt and she was not all that good at it. I think partly because her toenails are kept clipped and are not that sharp. She also doesn't have a mentor cat to show her how. But it was a nice day and we had a good time.

 Great job, Ginger! Junipers are not an easy bark to deal with - my ferals don't like climbing ours which makes our juniper a great choice for the birds. Our apple tree is the all-time favorite for kids & cats.
Ginger looks very well adjusted to the leash. Her striping is incredibly beautiful. She really knows how to work the camera - such lovely poses
