So my cat was just hanging out on my computer desk as I was just watching a show. All of a sudden from a relaxed sleeping position she rolled on her back with both of her paws out. She then reached forward to knead my shirt followed with sitting up right and latched onto my face with her claws while I was watching my show.

She wasn't hissing or anything but when I pulled her claws off my face she started to love bite my hand. Not sure at all what the heck just happened lol so I'm curious to whether or not this is normal behavior. My cat is almost 2 years old and I've had her for about a 1 and 1/2 years.

:nono: Yikes! That had to hurt! It sounds as if she was trying to get your attention in a VERY inappropriate way! Did you let out a loud screech to let her know to stop? (Hopefully, the neighbors won't hear).
Was your kitty a "bottle baby"? I find that kittens who aren't raised with enough adult cat discipline can often push the boundaries of appropriate exuberance. My advice would be to try to burn off some of her exuberant affections with more very rousing play, such as with a laser followed by a wand toy ( I prefer a string toy attached to a fishing pole so the cat gets to charge around the entire room in hot pursuit).
And don't hesitate to let your kitty know when she needs to use better claw control! Those claws hurt!:censored:

My cat likes to be looped over my shoulder. If I talk while we're doing this odds are high that she'll pretend bite my arm. Or if it's raining or going to rain soon even the next day, she'll smack my face with either hand. For this reason, she doesn't get picked up when it's going to rain except to be shoved in the carrier and make the tornado basement run.

It can happen. The good thing is that this was probably a "one off" instance. Possibly even the result of a bad dream, since cats DO dream, and she WAS sleeping. But OUCH!

Yes, a loud, high-pitched OUCH or OW OW OW, or a sharp HISSSSS will put a stop to such things in almost all cases.
