Does anyone have more information on this companyi. On their website it says made in usa but the actual can says product of Thailand which has me really doubting this company’s honesty. We’re mostly a raw family but I like to give my fur babies a variety. We’ve been considering them but not if their made in Thailand.

I would trust what it says on the can. Maybe they have a few manufacturing plants in the US, and different batches might be made in different places.

Several of us here on TCS feed Rawz. I mainly feed raw now but was feeding Rawz exclusively before I began to make the girls’ food. I still occasionally give them Rawz for variety.

Here’s what the Rawz website says about ingredient sourcing:
Our ingredients are sourced from the USA and Canada with some of our VITAMINS coming from Europe (France, Germany, and Switzerland), tapioca starch sourced from Thailand, and Taurine from Japan. Our ingredients are never, ever sourced from China.
So it appears that the tapioca starch is the only thing from Thailand.

If you’re concerned and have questions, you might try emailing the company.

I find Rawz is one of the most transparent companies. Not only do they explain why every ingredient is included but they also have a page for the ingredient sourcing.

I’m sure if you had any concerns, they would be happy to answer them via email.

Contact them. They're very kind and have nothing to hide.

I'm proud that they're based right here in my home state of Maine. If you end up talking to Amy or Jim, tell them Ann-Marie says hi. :)

As a side note: Thailand’s FDA has strict quality and safety standards, like in the US, so I think that food made there should be good to go.

A lot of cat food is made in Thailand -- that's not even close to the top of my list of concerns about commercial cat food. And as others have mentioned, Rawz is pretty good on transparency.

I personally wouldn't be concerned about it being made in thailand. Now, if it were made in China that's a different story.

Our Trader Joe's dumplings (dinner!) were made in Thailand, too, so the cats are in good company. :p
