Would you rather be in front of a camera or behind it?



Behind it. Hands down, for sure. I don't even do a lot of selfies except with my kids. And then I'm always trying to hid my less favorite features or using a filter. My best pictures are almost always ones where I'm not looking and have more of a candid feel. I have a picture from DD's newborn session where I'm holding her in front of me and DH is looking over my shoulder. We were straddling a bench so the picture was taken from the side. I'm almost sad DS isn't in the picture because it's my favorite but it doesn't show our complete family. (Minus the girls of course but they wouldn't have any of that anyway!)

This spring my cousins got the idea that it would be fun to have our pictures done together with all our kids since we all have kids now. It was really nice! But man I could not smile right for anything! I didn't think I was THAT nervous; but my smile kept twitching. My hair looked good, my outfit was nice. Just awkward smiles. As soon as we were done; no problem! We ended up with good pictures of us and great ones of the kids; but . Mostly they got awkward smiles out of me. Maybe we can try again someday.

Definitely behind. I’m as far from the world’s best photographer as you could possibly get, but I do enjoy taking pictures.

Definitely behind. I probably only have one picture of myself in my camera roll, all the rest is Shadow.

Oh, behind the camera. When it's time for pictures, I either take them or I run and hide.

In front. I'm always looking for more pictures of myself for dating sites because I don't have a lot of fairly current ones.

Both! I live filmmaking, so, so much! However, I also love acting, and putting on a show. I could make an entire movie with just myself (granted, it wouldn't be as spectacular as a movie with a larger crew). What I would give to have my own studio where I could create films to my heart's content.

Behind the camera, I would write the scripts and the songs and direct. I would film and decide which angles to use. Then the wonderous process of editing and adding in special effects!

In front, I would act and sing and dance and do whatever needed to bring the movie to life.

The same applies to taking pictures; I love modelling and doing poses and such. And photography is an art that I have immense love for.

I don't allow pictures of myself to be taken (except for drivers licence, etc..). Unfortunately, I don't take very good pictures either. But I keep doing it.

Behind - I've been interested in photography since I was 8 as I got a point-and-shoot camera for my birthday. I don't mind being in front of the camera but I feel more comfortable behind the lens.

Oh God, definitely behind it! Speaking of driver's licenses, I have to get mine renewed soon. The pic is really old, I'd say over 10 years old, maybe 20, who knows. I don't take many pics either, I should take more of my cats.

definitely behind! I take terrible pictures. I am just not photogenic. I like to take pictures especially of my cats of course.

Behind, for sure!! I love photography; and I enjoy taking pictures of my cats, and of nature. However, I do not like being photographed myself...I don't even like seeing myself in the mirror.

I've begun to understand why my mother would have a fit when I tried to take a picture of her. I do NOT get in front of a camera if I have any say in the matter. I didn't mind pictures of me when I was younger, but they are just depressing now. So I would rather be behind the camera, although I don't take as many pictures as I should.

Behind! I'm not particularly good at taking pictures though. I despise having my picture taken. I'll put up a fight if someone tries to take my picture. I don't even like looking at pictures of myself from when I was like 7. I hate them all.

A bit of both for me, I love taking pictures of my kids and my cats.
It might seem a bit morbid, but I've lost so many family members and all I have is pictures so I like to be in them too so my family have them
